I remember when,
We were just two little girls
Playing in the garden at Grandma’s house.
I was the older one
With the brown hair and darker skin,
While you were blonde and so fair.
Our beautiful mothers were close sisters.
Oh! What wonderful memories.
How sad I feel that they are both gone.
Many years have come and gone,
I can’t believe just how fast they have flew.
I wish I’d kept in better touch with you.
Now our children are all grown,
And they never had the chance to be,
Children playing together like you and me.
I remember those little girls,
Now maybe we can have a second chance,
To be like those children of long ago.
Thank God for the internet,
My dear cousin, I want to get to know you!
I hope you wish to know me too?
