About Black Cat Productions

Black Cat Productions is a home-based company run out of St. Catharines, Ontario. Founded in 2003 by Doug Hagar, Black Cat Productions started as the producer of a number of waiting room slideshows and is slowly growing to produce a number of independent short and feature-length films and documentaries. Black Cat Productions used DV equipment and editing suites to produce its projects.

Future Goals:

The main goal of Black Cat Productions is to aid in creating a cultural identity for Niagara by means of film and video production.

Short-term goals include the successful completion of all current projects. After completion our main goal is having our films shown at regional or international film festivals. From this point hopefully they can find a distributor and be released to the general public.

Long-term goals include the expansion of Black Cat Productions by building studio and production space as well as upgrading all equipment to broadcast quality levels. Another goal is to have the capital and ability to produce larger budget films for distribution in Canada and Internationally. This would enable us to make a significant contribution to the work force of Niagara.
