From 1994-1998, Doug
Slack
wrote and illustrated 19 issues of Slacker Comics, published
by SLG Publications.
Slacker Comics
presents the story of Randy, the "angry little grunge puppy."
For the first three years of the comic, he was presented as the
non-conformist Seattle-rock grunger. As time passed and more people
started to dress and act like him, he transformed into the "post-punk,
industrial little skinny puppy." He usually caught up in
an atypical teenage storyline, but some of the relationships and
high school dramas ring true and familiar. He has some friends,
his closest being Patricia ("the happy little goth chick"),
his on-again/off-again girlfriend.
Slacker Comics
also includes many autobiographical and antidotical stories from
the author. Click here to see scenes
