Barbie refused date

Washington D.C. –
The world’s most famous doll has been refused a date in the Supreme Court of the US of A.  Represented by her manufacturer, Mattel Toys, Barbie, who has no last name not unlike Prince, Twiggy and Gumby, was denied an appeal of a lower court decision with respect to her name being improperly used by the so-called musical group Aqua in their so-called hit song ‘Barbie Girl’.

Mattel alleges that the lyric, "I'm a blonde bimbo in a fantasy world/Dress me up, make it tight, I'm your dolly,'' confused pre-teen girls into thinking that the song was official gear from the company.  They have sought damages from the recording company, MCA, in the past.

For its part, the ‘music’ group, Aqua, has disappeared thankfully from the ‘music’ scene, hopefully is living in its native Denmark, promoting the national cheese, which seems to be punishment enough.

Surprisingly, MCA sold 1.4 million copies of the ‘song’ in 1997.  No one ever sued MCA for its false representation of music.

If Barbie were human-sized, she would stand 5 foot 6 inches tall, weigh 110 pounds, and have a 39 inch bust, 18 inch waist, 33 inch hips and a 7 inch ‘window’, the official name for the gap between her upper thighs.  No one has ever taken Mattel to court for false representation of a human female.
