A/N- OK we left off with the Digidestined standing stunned as a boy showed up and challenged them to a fight. He seems to have special powers and isn’t quite human. OK so here it is. The thing that we all love to see. SUPER COOL KICK ASS BATTLE SCENES!!!! I promised lots of devastation, and well here it is.
Disclaimer: Also as promised a new disclaimer for every time I introduce something that is mine. Kirin belongs to me. Lots of his attacks belong to me as well, many of you can guess which ones don’t. umm I’ll put at the end which ones I thought of so you will know. The thunder lance is MY idea, no stealing it either. OH and for those of you wondering and have read my bio, I AM NOT KIRIN!! He is a totally other person in no way resembles me or anyone else that I know. As far as I’m aware of that is. Once again any similarities in this fic to anyone alive or dead is just a coincidence. I didn’t go digging up anyone’s life to get info for this fic!.
Music that could go along with this battle sequence is Dance of the Curse from (Vision of) Escalfowne. A really super great anime that everyone should watch.*hears voice that says ’shameless promotion’* .The violins in the music really tell you something bad is about to happen and then the music picks up and the fight begins. Ok I’m gonna stop now ok. Oh and any words that are written in Japanese Romanji are actually said in English, since this is ALL supposed to be in Japanese. I will explain what the Japanese means at the end, or at least what I think it means. ^_^”

To Defy Destiny
As the boy said those last haunting words Gatomon and Ken gasped in unison.
“It can’t be, those old writings couldn’t have been true....” Ken stammered out and trailed off.
“If that is the Thunder Lance then you must be Fukushu no Senshi, Kirin” Gatomon said barely above a whisper. She had on a look of disbelief and horror. Ken shared a similar look.
The boy gave them a weighted stare then tilted his head to the side “It is, and I am. Seems that my reputation precedes me.” He smiled slightly “since you have some idea of what you are up against, do you wish to surrender or die fighting? The choice is yours, either way I will win.”
“WANNA BET!” Tai stepped forward and glared daggers at the boy. “Just what makes you think you can win so easily against us? If you know who we are then you should know how powerful we are.” He waited for the boy to respond.
“Hmp, seems that you are not all aware of who I am, perhaps your friends wish to fill you in.” He gave Ken and Gatomon a questioning look. “Well?”
Both Ken and Gatomon stood frozen still not able to really want to accept that this being was standing in front of them.
“Very well then, you shall learn soon enough who I am. PREPARE FOR BATTLE!” He held up his left hand and beams of white light swirled into it. They formed a large ball of pulsing white energy.
“COSMIC STARLIGHT!” He shouted and held his hand out in front of him and the multiple white beams of light shot out of his hand. The beams streaked towards the elder digidestined. The adults had no time to move out of the way, the attack was coming too fast. Their digimon, faithful as always jumped in front of their partners to save them. Each one was hit and sent hurling a few feet back into the air. They all stumbled back to their feet.
The humans cried out the names of their digimon partners as they flew through the air. They then turned back to the boy.
He gave a pitied laugh. “Your digimon are weak and pathetic. That was barely a champion level attack. I suppose I will just have to teach you. School is now in session, battle strategies and attack usage 101 as begun.” He looked at Tai and smiled. “Ready for more?”
Tai visibly controlled his urge to run up to the boy and choke him. “YOU obviously don’t know who your messing with. Time for us to teach you a lesson. AGUMON!” he looked at his partner who nodded and ran forward to face the enemy.
The boy stared at Tai for a moment and frowned slightly. “You amuse me, proceed. The first move is yours.” he then waited for Tai to make his move.
Tai, not being one to pass up an opportunity held out his digivice towards Agumon. “AGUMON LETS DO IT!”
“Agumon warp digivolve to......WARGREYMON!”
Wargreymon held up his hands and attacked. “TERRA FORCE!” Wargreymon hurled the huge orange energy ball at the boy.
while all this was happening Ken half registered what was going on, he snapped back into focus as Wargreymon prepared to attack. “TAI NO! KIRIN’S TOO POWERFUL!” he screamed running to Tai full speed trying to stop him before it was too late, it was already far too late now.
The huge orange ball of energy flew through the air at Kirin. he smirked. “Right back at ya!” he yelled as he stepped forward with his right foot picked up his left knee and pushed off with his right leg. He jumped and spun in the air whipping out his right left and kicked the Terra Force attack.
Not only did he stop the attack but he reversed it’s course and increased the speed of the attack.
The attack was coming back too fast for Wargreymon to dodge. It hit him square in the chest and sent him flying into the woods.
“WARGREYMON!” Tai called out futilely.
Kirin had a look as if nothing had happened. “Anyone else care to try?” He said in that calm enchanting voice of his.
Tai snapped his head back around “ YOU BASTARD!”
“Now now now Tai, don’t be a sore loser.” He gave a look of hurt disappointment to Tai.
Tai was now boiling with rage. “EVERYONE DIGIVOLVE!” he yelled to the other digidestined. His shout to action seemed to snap some of them out of their quite stupor that they were in.
The adults held out their digivices towards their respected partner and shouted “DIGIVOLVE!”
“Gatomon digivolve to.....ANGEWOMON!”
The digmon rushed forward together intending to just attack Kirin all at once. However when they were about to tackle him, Kirin just seemed to fade out. He was there one second, then faded, and gone the next. All the digimon were shocked at his sudden disappearance and crashed into each other landing in a heap.
The sound of clapping hands was heard from behind the pile of digimon.
Kirin stood not far away clapping his hands and a amused expression on his face. “Nice try, you might want to actually hit me next time.”
Tai, seeing this, finally admitted that they might have a problem and shouted for Sora, Mimi, Kari and Yolei to get the kids and run.
Kirin arched an eyebrow and held out his hands. “Oh no you don’t, everyone stays for the fun.” He held his hands out palms down and made a circle with them, the circle glowed red. He pulled his hands in towards him then pushed them back out pushing the glowing red circle away.
“CONCUSSION PULSE!” he shouted and the red circle flew at the women and hit them knocking them out. He then turned back to the group of digimon.
“YURUSEN!” Angewomon screamed as she flew up into the air, Angemon joined her. The two angels attacked together.
“CELESTIAL ARROW!”
Tai watched as the two holy attacks raced towards Kirin. They hit him dead on. AND SEEMED TO NOT PHASE HIM AT ALL! in fact his body seemed to absorb the energy from the attacks. Kirin just smiled. and raised his eyebrows very quickly as to say ‘surprise’.
“My turn.” Kirin said as if just in case no one knew it. He held up his arms and positioned his hands as if making a large “o” and blue ice formed in his hands and elongated into a large spear-shaped icicle. “SUB ARCTIC ICE JAVELIN!”
The ice javelin flew at Flamedramon who simply held up his clawed hand and stated “When its fire against ice, fire always wins.” He then attacked “FLAMING FIST!”
The two attacks met in a hissing-steaming explosion. Flamdramon smiled thinking he had stopped Kirin’s attack, he didn’t see the huge wave of water that came out of the steam cloud. he was washed away and slammed against the rock that Kirin had been standing on earlier. He didigivolved back into Veemon.
Kirin Tsked and shook his head at Flamdramon’s actions. “Seems someone wasn’t paying attention in science class when the teacher explained that ice melts into water and snuffs out fire. NEXT!”
Digmon jumped forward in front of Veemon and hit the ground with his drills. “ROCK CRAKIN!” he shouted as a huge rift started to streak at Kirin.
Kirin held out his right hand palm up and curled all his fingers except for his middle and index fingers. he slowly raised his hand and as he did the ground in front of him rose into a large mound. He then turned his hand over and extended his fingers. “QUAKING WAVE!” he shouted as he pushed his hand down causing the mound of earth to be pushed down. This grew into a large wave or dirt that began to flow at digmon. It stopped his attack and slammed into him completely burying him. A few seconds later Armidillomon dug his way out of the huge pile of rock and dirt.
As Kirin attacked Digmon, Shurimon took the chance to attack. He jumped over the flowing wave or dirt and grabbed the large Star on his back. “DOUBLE STARS!”
The huge ninja star flew through the air. Kirin looked up and twirled his lance and let it fly. “RAZOR’S EDGE!” The Thunder Lance spun faster it soon looked like a large sharp disk. It knocked the large ninja star out of the air.
Shurimon landed and was grabbed by Kirin who seemed to just materialize next to him. “just exactly how flexible are you samurai?” Kirin asked Shurimon as he picked him up and spun him over his head. Shurimon’s limbs flew out and Kirin threw him at Birdramon, Ikkakumon, Togemon and Tentomon. Shurimons arms and legs acted like a rope and wrapped around the digimon trapping them against each other.
Stingmon flew at Kirin and started to kick at him in at that near light speed rate he was capable of. However Kirin just stood there and blocked each and every kick. Stingmon had only a split second to be shocked as Kirin punched him in the stomach twice and back flipped kicking him in the processs. Stingmon landed in a heap not to far away.
While all this was happening Tai, Joe, Izzy, and Ken had run over to see if Kari, Sora, Mimi, and Yolei were ok. Still a little groggy, the women stood up and said they would stay here to protect the kids.
Tai turned his attention back to the fight, or rather slaughter. Things hadn’t gone well while he wasn’t paying attention. half the digimon were trapped in between Shurimon’s legs and arms.
“Quick Yolei, didigivolve Shurimon!” He shouted above the sound of Stingmon crashing into the ground.
Yolei nodded and held out her digivice and Shurimon reverted back to Hawkmon.
“Lets try again everyone!” Davis said holding out his digivice.
“Veemon Armourdigivolve to.....RAIDRAMON!”
Kirin held out his left hand and caught his lance at it came whistling back to him. He looked over at Halsemon who had jumped into the air and was preparing to attack. Wargreymon flew back out of the woods just then.
“Lets double team him Halsemon!” Wargreymon told Halsemon.
Halsemon nodded and started to spin just as Wargreymon began to do the same.
“TEMPEST WING!”
The two digimon combined their attacks and sent a huge swirling tornado at Kirin.
Kirin held his hands out and began to spin. “TWIRLING VORTEX!” He sent a huge tornado right at the other. Both attacks cancelled each other.
Angemon had stopped watching the fight and held up his staff. “ANGEL STAFF!” He said as he threw the golden rod like a spear.
Kirin turned and caught the rod in his right hand. Angemon smiled and said “HOLY CHARGE!”
The rod glowed white and suddenly let loose a blinding white sphere of energy. The light faded and Kirin stood there as if he hadn’t noticed what had happened. “If you are going to charge something do it right. THUNDER CHARGE!” he yelled as the rod suddenly started to spark with electricity. Kirin then threw the rod back at Angemon.
Before it got to Anegemon the rod let loose the stored charge and electrified Angemon and Angewomon. Both let out a screech of pain then fell out of the sky. They didigivolved as they landed.
Halsemon, Birdramon, Tentomon all flew into the air and were waiting for a clear shot.
“Do you think you are safe in the air?” Kirin asked them when he noticed what they were doing. He raised his hands over his head and made fists then brought then down quickly while shouting, “LIGHTNING SHOWER!” bolts of lighting fell from the sky striking the three digimon in the air and Ikkakumon who had positioned himself under them. They too fell from the sky and didigivolved. Ikkakumon shook himself and looked to Joe.
“Right! Do it!” Joe yelled holing out his digivice.
“Ikkakumon digivlove to.....ZUDAMON!”
Raidramon jumped into the air and attacked “THUNDER BLAST!”
Kirin held out his lance and the attack was absorbed by the metal.
“That’s not possible.” Izzy mumbled to no one in particular.
‘After all we’ve been through in our lives he still thinks that some things aren’t possible? Man, we have to do something we’re getting wiped out.’ Tai was racked with what they should do, should they run? Should they try and continue to fight a losing battle? They needed help.
‘WHERE THE HELL IS MATT?’
Kirin jumped onto Raidramon’s back and wrapped his arms around the digimon’s neck and leaned down close to his ear. “allow me to show you a real electric attack. ELECTRIC DISCHARGE!” a large ball of electricity spread out from Kirin and enveloped Raidramon. He fell down and was once again Veemon.
Zudamon stepped forward and raised his hammer.
Kirin looked over at Zudomon and had a look of slight surprise. He held out his hand and motioned with his finger. The hammer in Zudomon’s hand flew forward and stopped in front of Kirin.
He walked around it and seemed to be inspecting it, the hammer was nearly as tall as him. Kirin seemed to be well over 6 feet tall.
“seems to be a formidable weapon. Chrome digizoid?” He looked at Zudomon.
Zudomon nodded “none other like it.”
“Is that so....” Kirin trailed off. “Well I can change that.” He raised the lance and sliced clean through the hammer. “There! Now you have two”
Everyone stood stunned. Especially Zudamon. “How could you....that was chrome digizoid metal.....Nothing can do that to chrome digizoid, at least not that easily.” He looked at Kirin for a response.
Kirin just looked at him “That is where you are wrong my friend. my lance is Titanium Digitalo metal. It can slice through just about anything, in fact I have yet to meet a stronger substance.” He seemed to add that last part as if in a after thought.
Just then Ankylomon whacked Kirin in the back with his tail hammer attack.
Only one problem, Kirin didn’t even flinch. He just stood there and then looked at Ankylomon and smiled.
“He...he ..he’s smiling...No one can stand up to his tail hammer like that NO ONE.” Cody said in a daze.
“Today is a day of first times for everything my friend. anything and everything has and most likely will happen today.” Izzy told Cody.
Ankylomon tried to run away but Kirin was just way too fast. He grabbed Ankkylomon’s tail and lifted him up into the air and pitched him at Zudomon, Stingmon and Wargreymon.
“Alright everyone time to move it! Find a digiport and get home and try and get help!” Tai shouted above the sound of one very large digimon landing on three others.
Everyone jumped onto their digimon and grabbed their children and started to run for it.
“YOU CAN HIDE BUT YOU CAN’T RUN!” Kirin called after them.
“Doesn’t he mean we can run but we can’t hide?” Davis said looking at the others.
“No I meant you can hide but you can’t run.” Said a soothing voice just next to his ear.
Davis turned sharply to his right to see Kirin flying next to him. Kirin winked and then punched Xveemon in the face causing him to fall out of the sky.
Davis let out a yell and was caught by Stingmon.
“Where’s Josh?” Davis shouted looking for his son.
“Don’t worry he is safe.” Said that soothing voice.
Davis looked up to see Kirin holding his son in his arms. The boy looked like he was torn between deciding whether to scream his head off or thank Kirin for saving him.
“This is not a place for children. You shouldn’t be here, you aren’t needed for the mission.” He said and then he kissed Josh on the head and the boy fell asleep.
“None of the children need to be here.” He then winked out from where he was and then reappeared with all the children next to the digiport.
“Away small fighters of evil. Be safe for now. I am sorry for what I must do. farewell.” He then held up his lance and circled it above his head and a white light enveloped the children and they were sucked into the digiport.
“Now we finish this. Your children are safe for now.” He then smashed the television with his left hand.
“Fine then we end this here and now! DAVIS LETS DO IT!” Ken held out his digivice and Davis did the same.
“XVEEMON!”
“Yolei!” Kari called out.
“AQUILAMON!”
“CODY!” TK yelled to his DNA digivolve partner.
“RIGHT TK!” Cody said holding out his digivice.
“ANGEMON!”
//ALRIGHT YOU STEROID PUSHER LETS GET TO IT!\\ Paildramon stated
“Very well, I do this for the sake of what is.” Kirin said as he turned around and held his lance in front of him.
The three DNA digimon spread out around Kirin and got ready to attack.
“Tai, what should we do?” came Mimi’s voice above the sound of the digivolving.
“We’ll just have to wait as back up in case they need it.” ‘I hope to God that they don’t. Whoever this kid is, he’s tough. Matt where are you?’

All the attacks used by Kirin are my own creation so I haven’t really stepped on anyone’s creative juices, yet.

yurusen - roughly “unforgivable” or “ you will pay [for this]”
Kirin - Ok this isn’t exactly Japanese, I got it from Chinese Pet shop of Horror{Yes I just about watch anything that is anime}. This is the name given to the male guardians. They are Gods that rule along side the Dragon, Phoenix and the Tortoise. It is said that if a Kirin or Keilin{ for females} chooses you as their master then they will grant you one wish. Kirins/Keilins are also said to have the fur of all the animals and to be the king of the animal world. At least that’s what count D said. *runs and watches episode again* Yup that’s what he said. However I don’t like the pronunciation of the word “KIRIN” which is supposed to be “KEY-REEN”. So I am going to pull a North American dubbing company and mispronounce it. So for this fic the word “KIRIN” is pronounced as such; “CURE - IN”. OK? Is that clear enough to everyone? AND NO! I AM NOT USING THE JAPANESE WORD FOR “GIRAFFE!”
Titanium Digitalo - Ok I know this is definitely not Japanese, but I just want to make sure you are saying it right. everyone can say TITANIUM right? DIGITALO : “DIGI-TAL- OH”
Matt: WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! I’M STILL NOT IN THE STORY!
Drakin: oh yeah... well you’ll get in there somewhere soon.
Matt: WHAT?! I want to talk to my agent I know I should be getting more time then this!
Tai: Are we going to get hurt more?
Drakin: yes

Drakin: quiet you, or I’ll put you in a three some with Joe and Sora *smiles evilly*
Matt: *visibly pales* I’ll be good, but I want to know when I get to be in the story.
Drakin: -_-* with this kind of attitude its a wonder how you end up in stories at all.
Matt: KONOYAROU!!!
Drakin: Watch it toothpick, don’t start something you can’t finish.
Matt: *mumbles*
