A/N: WHAT HAPPENED TO MATT? WHAT HAPPENED TO MATT? WHAT HAPPENED TO MATT? Yeah yeah yeah! Is that all you ppl care about? I swear all I should do is write about Matt walking around for 25 pages and you guys would think it is that best fic in the world. Anyways........ The plot for this fic actually starts. *hears voice “ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME!”* AHEM! As I was saying, the story actually starts to develop somewhat now. We get into the story behind Kirin and.....HEY READ THE DAMN FIC!

“Well they weren’t exactly ancient, just old. Or at least they seemed old.” Ken stated, he was trying to figure out how to word what he was trying to describe to the others. “Just before I was defeated back when I was the Digimon Emperor, I had stumbled upon File island. It was then that I found the ancient ruins guarded by Centaurumon. In one of the deeper chamber, someone had etched in something new. It was like a verse, or a prophecy of sorts.” Ken closed his eyes trying his best to remember what he had discovered so many years ago.
When shadow overruns the light,
“There were some crude sketches as well. Some of the Lance. Some of Kirin himself. Especially his eyes. I didn’t think much of it at the time. I really didn’t understand it. I didn’t care to.” Ken looked around at everyone. No one knew exactly what to make of what he just said.
“Is that still at the ruins?” Will asked after some thought.
Ken shook his head no. “I went back to see if I could make something of it a few years ago but that part of the ruins was totally destroyed. Nothing was left.”
“Well that doesn’t make sense.” TK said. “Why would he be called the ‘Child of light, and the savior of the twin worlds’ if he was trying to destroy us?” He looked around.
“I think.....I think it means that he has the ability to be either. Either a force of goodness or a vessel for evil. Just like all of us, we each have good and bad within us, it’s just which side we chose to nurture that makes us good or bad.” Kari said. She turned around to face the group. She had been looking to where Tai and Matt had flew off after Kirin. Nobody thought she had even heard what Ken had said.
“There is a point to what you said Kari. However only time will tell which side he is on.” Izzy added.
“I just don’t know what to make of it. He seemed to take pleasure in hurting our digimon, and yet he spared the children. I just don’t know.” Sora said not really looking at anyone. It seemed she was talking to herself more then telling anyone what she thought.
“Either way, good or bad, we have to be careful. Someone as powerful as he is must be dealt with carefully. *yawn* I say we find a good place to sleep and try and find Tai and Matt in the morning and worry about Kirin after we find them.” Davis said.
Everyone looked at him.
“What? HEY! I used to be the LEADERof the digidestined at one point too remember? Why is it that everyone is surprised when I suggest something?” He demanded.
They continued to just stare at him as if he had started to spout Shakespeare in German.
He glared right back.
Finally TK spoke up. “It’s not that we are surprised that you suggested something, it’s just that we are surprised that you suggested something and it made sense.” everyone nodded.
Davis gave them a look of bored disbelief. and muttered something under his breath and walked off. He looked back. “YOU COMING OR WHAT?!” He turned around again and walked away.
“Well I guess he’s in charge for now.” Joe said, looking somewhat unsure as to HOW it had happened. Everyone shrugged and followed the ‘leader’.
Kari looked back again to where her brother had flown off. Possibly to his doom. ‘If anything happened to them I swear I will make Kirin pay! Even if it costs me my life, I will make him pay!’She turned and followed the others.

Tai glared at Kirin. “What did you do to him?!” He growled.
“My my my, someone’s a little grumpy aren’t they?” He just tsked and waved a finger. “Anyways what do you want? I’m a busy guy, things to destroy, people to torture and places to level. So out with it.” He waited for Tai’s answer.
Tai still glared at him, but decided not to tick Kirin off. Which is always a good idea to go with. So he decided on trying to dig for info, maybe Kirin would slip up and let loose something that Tai could use later down the road.
“Why did my crest do what it did?”
“Probably protecting you. Not sure.”
“Why is it that I can tell where you are?”
“We are now bonded somehow. I have no idea why or how this was done, but you have to live with it as I must. Unless, well I can easily remedy the situation, however you might not like how I plan to fix it.”
That was the truth, the last part was just Kirin’s sense of humor. He just knew that Kirin was telling the truth. He also could feel that Kirin really didn’t mean to harm him. He decided to try again.
“What happened to Matt? Don’t evade the question, what did you do to him?”
“Wouldn’t you like to know. You should be able to tell.” Kirin held up his left hand. Tai gasped in shock as a symbol flashed on it. “Well little digidestined I have other matters to attend to. have fun out here by yourself. Don’t let the digibugs bite, heard that they can chomp through steel. Mate ne.” He turned and jumped up into the air and raced off through the tree tops. Tai watched him for a few seconds as Kirin, now a blur, was out of sight.
Tai shook his head in disbelief. ‘NO! I WON’T BELIEVE IT! Matt’s alright, I know it. I just know it!’ He looked around. Nothing but trees as far as the eye could see, which wasn’t far. The huge shining moon wasn’t able to penetrate the thick treetops. ‘Might as well just settle down here. No sense in blindly stumbling around. Don’t want to fall off a cliff.’ Tai laid down next to one of the large trees and tried to get some warmth from the thin jacket he was wearing. He shivered as a strong cold wind blew over him. He closed his eyes. ‘Matt when I find you.....’ Tai trailed off in his thoughts, he really wasn’t sure what he would do. He wished the blond was there, even if it was just to argue with him. He just wanted to see him again to know he was alright. If he ever saw Matt again he would grab onto him and never let go. No matter how much he protested. He REALLY wished Matt was there now. He shivered again. He fell into a thankfully dreamless sleep.

Everyone trudged along. No one really paying any attention to where they were going. Just following Davis. At one point or another everyone quietly questioned whether or not Davis knew where he was going. They shrugged the thought off however seeing as how no one else had a better idea. They needed focus and following Davis was that focus.
“Well here looks like a good place. I’ll go look around to see if there is anything to eat for in the morning.” Davis turned to go. Everyone looked at the large ‘cubbyhole’ that Davis had picked out. It was nothing more then a large indent in the canyon wall. It would provide shelter if it rained and would keep out most of the wind. They began to crowd into the opening. Ken realized what Davis had said.
“DAVIS! Come on back. As tired as we are, you’ll probably just end up falling asleep out there. Just get some rest and we’ll all look tomorrow.” He looked at their tired leader. Davis just looked then nodded. He didn’t have the strength to argue. They all picked various places to lay down and fell asleep almost immediately.

Tai opened his eyes. Sunlight met his unprotected pupils. He clamped his eyes shut. He felt warm. He was laying on a semi-soft surface. He wondered if it had all been a dream and he had mistakenly fallen asleep in the couch or somewhere else in his home. Any minute now his son would come running into the room and jump on him and yell at him to get up for breakfast. Seeing as how Tai was the one doing the cooking, he HAD to get up for breakfast or neither one of them ate.
He opened one eye and peeked around at his surroundings.
His heart sank as he saw the endless expanse of the forest.
He was in fact in the digiworld, and it had all been real. ‘Well, at least I didn’t freeze to death. OH MY GOD MATT!’ he sat up lightning quick starting to worry. Just then he felt Matt not too far off. He was well, and was determined about something. Tai frowned. ‘That’s weird I can just sense where he is, sorta like with Kirin. strange I think he’s near.’ Tai turned around and a movement caught his eye. He caught a short glimpse of what he thought was a dark figure hiding in the branches of the trees. Tai felt cold again. ‘He didn’t........He wouldn’t have.’ Deep down though Tai knew why he hadn’t froze that night.
Tai stood up and looked to where he had thought he had saw the figure hide behind the large tree trunk. ‘Kirin? Are you there?’ He strained his eyes trying to see if he could see anyone there.
“TAI!”
Tai turned at the sound of his name. He saw Omnimon walking towards him. Matt was on the large digimon’s right shoulder. He smiled and waved at them. ‘God am I glad to see him.’ Tai thanked God that Kirin hadn’t done anything to Matt. ‘But then who screamed out last night?’ Tai frowned pondering the question. he stopped though as Omnimon came close and knelt down in front of Tai. He raised his arm and Matt slid off his shoulder and onto his arm and then hopped onto his knee and then jumped to the ground. He then rushed over and hugged Tai.
“God it’s good to see you” Matt was just happy he had found his friend at last.
“I’m glad you’re alright, I thought Kirin had got you for sure.” Tai replied.
Tai pushed Matt back and looked at him. “What happened? Who screamed like that last night?”
“Well....It’s hard to explain.” Matt looked sorta confused as if he was trying to consider how to explains something he really didn’t understand.
“Well just try your best.” Tai told him.
“OK. I’m still not sure, but her goes......” Matt started to relive the events of last night.

“Please let me have just fallen asleep in front of the computer after playing a really vivid RPG game.” Izzy muttered as he opened is eyes. “aaaaagggghhhhhhh.” He let out as he saw the ceiling of the canyon indent that they had fallen asleep in.
“Could you keep your groans of misery down over there? Some of us are still trying to delude ourselves of reality still.” Came Joe’s voice from somewhere to Izzy’s left .
“This coming from the boy who thought he was allergic to nearly everything under the sun when he was 12. You know you still hold a spot in the World Almanac for most consecutive complaints. ” Retorted Mimi from somewhere to Izzy’s right. She sounded close. Izzy looked over and found her laying with her back to him just a few inches away.
“Really? Didn’t know I was that famous. How come I haven’t been asked to endorse anything yet?” Joe asked out to anyone who was listening.
Will, TK, and Davis let out groans of disbelief. “The things you old guys talk about.” Davis let out.
“You’re only a few years younger then us Davis!” Sora growled at him.
“Oh yeah.” Davis replied.
Ken chuckled. ‘Even after all these years Davis STILL hasn’t gotten a clue, oh well, that’s one of his more attractive traits. That hyper active stupidity of his. Where in the hell did that one come from.?’ Ken frowned, he just shrugged the thought off though. Davis’ stomach growled just then.
“TAI?” Kari asked sitting up. She looked at Davis. “Oh its just your stomach growling. thought Tai was up.” Everyone understood her of course, Tai being a bottomless pit when it came to food.
“HEY! Lets go look for some food guys!” Davis said standing up.
Everyone groaned. “DAVIS YOU TAI CLONE!”
“What? What did I say?” He looked around trying to figure out why everyone was just looking at him like that.

The moonlight poured over Matt and Kirin, highlighting their pale skin, causing both of them to seem to glow. Kirin held out the lance, holding one point right to Matt’s throat.
“So, looks like you and Tai don’t get to play catch up.” He was glaring at Matt.
“Why are you doing this?” Matt looked at Kirin to try and read his facial expression as to why he seemed to hate him so much.
“You wouldn’t understand even if I could tell you.” Kirin shot at him rather icily.
“Try me. If you know who I am then you know that not much would surprise me. I’ve fought for the two worlds twice. So whatever you have to say shouldn’t be much worse then those times either.” Matt glared at Kirin expecting an answer.
Kirin let out a small sigh. “Why bother explaining something to you when you won’t be around long enough to understand it?”
Matt narrowed his eyes, so this was it was it? He wouldn’t ever see his friends again. He wouldn’t see Gabumon ever again. He would never get his chance to maybe have a shot at actual love. ‘I can’t let it end this way, I just can’t! I have to at least try and save the others.’
“Promise me.”
Kirin raised an eyebrow at Matt.
“Promise me you won’t hurt Tai or the others.”
Kirin looked at Matt in just shock. “What makes you think that you can demand something like that from me? Just what makes you think I would keep a promise to you?”
“They’re my friends and I can’t let anything happen to them. Promise me that no matter what you do to me you won’t hurt the others.” Matt just looked at Kirin as if he expected the boy to just nod and agree to the terms.
“You would ask that of me? you would allow yourself to be destroyed if I swore not to harm your friends?” Kirin was now going into confusion. He really didn’t understand Matt.
“Yes. You obviously have never had friends or you would know what I was talking about.”
“No. No I haven’t ever had any friends. I don’t know what it is like to be willing to sacrifice yourself for someone else. Is that what it means to have the crest of Friendship?” Kirin asked Matt with honest curiosity. He truly didn’t understand how Matt felt about his friends.
“Yes it does. I would do anything for them. Even if it meant my life.”
“Then the crest has a worthy owner. You truly are a remarkable man. A very mysterious man as well.” Kirin was now talking in barely a whisper.
Suddenly Matt’s crest glowed and started to float out of his chest. It hung suspended in mid air between Kirin and Matt. Rotating slowly.
Kirin gasped and took a step back, he remembered what had happened last time a crest had acted this way. He brought the lance up in front of him as if trying to fend off the crest. However the crest was too quick and it slammed into Kirin’s left hand. Kirin dropped the lance and clutched his left writs with his right hand. He screamed out in pain and fell to his knees. The lance formed back into the ball of light and flew back into Kirin’s chest.
Matt looked at all this in shock. He couldn’t believe what was happening. He suddenly felt searing hot pain on his left hand. He looked down and saw that there wasn’t anything wrong with his hand though. He then felt hate and murderous rage. He looked at Kirin and saw the boy looking at him.
Kirin got to his feet and took a step away from Matt. He took a step towards Matt as if to grab him but stopped and shut his eyes and gave a slight shudder. He looked back at Matt and seemed to be reasoning what to do.

Matt’s eyes widened as Kirin took a step towards him. However he stopped and shuddered. Just then at that moment Matt felt Tai, or rather it was a impression of him. He was some ways away.
He looked at Kirin. The boy was slowly walking backwards away from Matt. He still held onto his wrist, but the pain was fading. He then seemed to shimmer out of existence.

“Well after that Omnimon came out of the woods and in the morning we started to look for you.” Matt looked at Tai waiting for his reaction to what he had just said.
Tai was still trying to absorb all the new info. ‘So, two crests. He now has two crests, and yet are digimon don’t seem to be affected by it. They can still digivolve....” Tai was brought out of his thoughtsd as Matt waved a hand in front of his face.
“Tai? Tai?! HELLO.......ANYONE IN THERE?” Matt lifted his hand to Tai’s head and knocked on it as if it were wood.
Tai blinked and caught Matt’s hand. “What?”
“Well what do you think? Any ideas as to why our crests are reacting to Kirin the way they are?” Matt frowned at him “ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?!”
Tai blinked again and looked at Matt. “yeah, I’m just trying to figure out why this is happening. Sheesh, you always did like to yell at me didn’t you?!”
Matt just grinned. “Well I had to amuse myself some way didn’t I? You always were good for a laugh.” He winked at Tai.
Tai gave him one of those patented ‘Matt looks’ as if saying ‘whatever’. Matt frowned at him. “Well we can’t do any good sitting here doing nothing. Might as well go look for the others.”
Matt nodded and they stood up and jumped up onto Omnimon. “Well, oh fearless leader, where to now? Any idea which way to go?”
“Not a clue. My digivice isn’t giving off any signal from the others. Maybe we should fly up and take a look around and see if we can see that cliff we dived off of yesterday.”
“Ok. Lets go Omnimon!” Matt patted Omnimon’s shoulder and the large digimon flew up into the air.

As Omnimon took off into the air, a figure hiding within the shadows of the treetops watched them.
‘Taichi, Yamato; ki o tsukete. Gomen ne. I must do what I have to for all our sake.’ A symbol flashed bright white on the figure’s forehead. He looked up at the sky. nodded a couple of times, then his eyes went wide with shock and surprise. “HAI! IMASUGU NI!” Kirin stepped out into the light and flew up into the air. He gave one last look in the direction Tai and Matt had flown off in. He then flew off at a near impossible speed.

The rest of the digidestined gathered around the fire they had built and were gulping down what used to be fish.
“Reminds me of the good old days.” TK sighed and looked at the other elder digidestined.
“What does? Eating fish? Why would that remind you of the good old days?” Cody asked.
“Cause it was all we could fine most of the time. Fish for breakfast, fish for lunch and fish for dinner. We learned to love it.” Mimi chimed in.
“Some of us didn’t. We were allergic to most of the stuff Matt put on the fish. That or I was too worried about the next evil digimon coming around the corner to kill us.” Joe said around his fish.
Mimi, Izzy, TK, Kari and Sora gave him that look that just said ‘thanks for helping with the memories Joe’.
“Well I happen to like fish. In fact I don’t think I could ever get tired of eating fish!” Davis said smiling as he bit into his fish again.
“GOOD! I had to listen to Joe whine for months about how much fish sucked, I will not put up with it again from you or anyone else! I swear the first person who complains about the food we eat I WILL SPRAY PAINT THEM PINK!” Mimi just glared at Davis, making sure he remembered that he said we would never get tired of fish.
Davis sweat dropped then grabbed another fish and immediately started to gulp it down.
Mimi nodded her head and seemed to be satisfied that her point got across. She looked at everyone else who were also gulping down there food and trying to make it look like they had never had anything as tasty in their lives.
All the digimon giggled at the site of Mimi being taken seriously. Mimi arched an eyebrow at them and was about to let them have it when a deafening explosion thundered off in the distance. A few seconds later the ground shook slightly. They all jumped to their feet and looked in the direction that it had come from.
Dark clouds gathered off on the horizon and a bolts of lightning streaked across the sky. Flashes of light lit up the dark clouds and more muffled explosions sounded off in the distance.
“Tai.....”Kari let out as TK barely breathed out the word “Oniisan......”
Well looks like Kirin is up to mischief again. Maybe we’ll find Tai and Matt there too. Who knows, Kirin might be fighting someone else.” Yolei said trying to comfort her two friends who looked like they had just lost their brothers.
“Something tells me that we will find Tai and Matt there too.” Kari said in response. TK nodded in agreement.
“Well then lets go! We can’t help them just standing here doing nothing!” Will yelled out trying to motivate the others.
They looked at him and nodded.

Matt and Tai looked up from the fruit they were eating. “Was that thunder or an explosion?” Matt asked Tai.
“I’m not sure, it didn’t sound to far away though. Matt, we should check it out.” Matt nodded. They stood up and walked over to their digimon, who were snoozing after they had stuffed themselves. “Come one sleepy head time to get up.” Tai nudged Agumon.
“Rise and shine Gabumon!” Matt shook Gabumon.
Both digimon opened their eyes and responded at the same time; “Aw c’mon can’t we just have five more minutes?” Both Tai and Matt laughed.
“Nope! We have work to do. Lets go you two.” Tai held out his digivice to Agumon, Matt did the same to Gabumon.
“Agumon warp digivolve to.....WARGREYMON!”
Tai and Matt hopped onto their digimon and took off into the air. They saw some flashes of light not too far away. “Looks like that’s the way we go!” Tai called over to Matt. Matt nodded. Both Mega digimon flew off to Where the sounds of fighting were coming from.

Devimon fell to the ground. Kirin flew over him and sent a huge energy blast at the large serpent-like digimon flying high in the sky.
Matt and Tai flew into the battle. Tai looked at what was going on in the air as Matt surveyed what was happening on the ground below them. They quickly took the sight in and came to the conclusion that one Hell of a battle was going on. There were good and bad digimon alike both in the ground and in the air. However they weren’t fighting with each other, all the digimon on the ground seemed to be waiting for something as they silently watched how the war was being fought in the air.
Tai and Matt both looked up at the huge serpent digimon weaving it’s massive body through the air. It was fighting with the many digimon in the sky.
“AZULONGMON!” They both shouted out in horror as they finally realized who the digimon was.
“Why? Why are they fighting with him? What’s going on?” Matt yelled over to Tai.
“I don’t know, but something is definitely wrong here. Either Kirin is working for the bad guys and has somehow managed to convince all these good digimon to fight with him, or something is very wrong.” Tai said back, almost as if he were talking to himself instead of answering Matt.
“I think you’re right. Look at the digicores around his legs!” Matt said and pointed.
Tai looked and sure enough Matt was right. The digicores around Azulongmon’s legs, which were usually white were black as pitch. They seemed to absorb the light and radiate darkness.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!” That soothing voice demanded. Although it was being yelled and sounded slightly frightened it still commanded power and enchanted the listener none the less. “YOU SHOULDN’T BE HERE!”
Matt and Tai turned to see Kirin behind them. “What’s going on?!” Tai shouted to him.
Before Kirin could answer though a thundering voice boomed out over the sounds of the battle.
“HIKARI NO KODOMO! AH! I see the two most powerful digidestined are here as well, as are their digimon! Splendid I shall dispose of all of you in one swoop and be rid of you!”
“NIGERU! HAIYAKU!” Kirin yelled at them as he flew forward as Azulongmon’s eyes glowed a dark black. The large digimon let loose a blast of pure dark energy from it’s eyes. The attack went straight for the two humans and the three digimon.
“BLESSED SHIELD!”
Kirin held out his hands and the clear ripples spread out from his hands. However when the attack hit the shield it phased right through it and hit Kirin right in the chest. He screamed in agony and was thrown back to the ground. He crashed with such a force that a large crater formed.
Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon tried their best to dodge the attack, but it was as if some sort of concussion wave surrounded the beams. The air vibrated as the black beams shot by near the two digimon. They were hurled through the air. Matt and Tai couldn’t hold on as their digimon were ripped away from them. They fell towards the ground.
Wargreymon managed to get his bearing first and flew to Tai and grabbed his hand. Tai grabbed onto Matt who was right next to him. The large digimon let loose another attack. Wargreymon was once again knocked away from Tai and Matt. The two men fell the remaining thirty feet to the ground.

Kari shrieked in pain.
Everyone looked at her worriedly. She held her head in her hands and was rocking back and forth. No one knew what to do.
They were all atop of Seardramon. heading in the direction of the battle. Kari and TK had been on edge the whole way. They seemed agitated by something. Neither of them knew what it was just that something wasn’t right.
As they came near the battlefield everyone looked up and the huge Digimon in the sky.
“AZULONGMON!” Izzy said in disbelief.
“Azulongmon.....nai” Kari strained out. She seemed be having trouble focusing. TK looked from Kari to the huge digimon in the sky. The next thing everyone noticed was a large white streak that rocketed towards the mega digimon and hit it square in the face.
“My God what is going on? It looks like World War Three up there!” Joe shouted.
“It’s the beginning of the end.” Kari said.

Tai sat up and winced. He left arm hurt REALLY bad. Felt like it was broke, his right ankle didn’t feel any better. He looked over to Matt not more then a few feet away. He dragged himself over this his friends and laid a shaky hand on him. He had no idea how badly Matt was hurt.
“Matt? You ok? Matt?” He moved closer so he could get a closer look at him.
“uhhhhhhhgggg.......Tai? I’m alright...I think. I’ve definitely had better days. I’m alive so that’s what counts right?” Matt looked up at Tai and smiled.
“I guess.” Tai gave Matt a sad look though.
Matt looked at Tai. “What’s wrong?” He put a hand to his left cheek. He brought his hand away and it was covered in blood. “How bad?” He asked Tai.
“Well it’s a pretty good gash you have there. Take a while for it to heal.” Tai then looked up as a pair of shoes stepped into his line of vision.
“You two ok?” came a strained voiced above them. Tai looked to see Kirin looking down at them. Kirin knelt down and put a hand to Matt’s cheek. he pulled his hand away slowly and narrowed his eyes and emitted a low growl. He stood up and turned away. “You two with me” He said in a heated tone. He was looking at Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon who had walked up to them.
Tai felt hate and outrage from Kirin. “What are you going to do?” He asked the boy. Kirin turned around and his eyes flashed dangerously as the electric sparks flicked out wildly from them.
“I will make him pay!” He said in a low voice. He then turned back around and flew up at Azulongmon. Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon looked at Tai with a questioning look.
Tai nodded to them. “We’ll be ok, go help him.” The two mega digimon nodded and flew off after Kirin.
The large Digimon watched Kirin come at him and laughed. “What do you expect to do little one? you are powerless against me.” His eyes widened as Kirin picked up speed and a white aura enveloped him.
“YOU SON OF A ...!” Kirin trailed off as he landed a punch on the huge digimon’s face. The metal face plate on the mega digimon’s face cracked as it reared back from the blow.
“This power isn’t possible! How can you do this?!”
Kirin answered with a deadly attack. “LIGHTNING SHOWER!” Dark clouds swirled up and huge bolts of electricity poured out of the sky and streaked towards the huge dragon.
“TERRA FORCE!”
Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon sent their attacks at Azulongmon as well. The three attacks merged and hit Azulongmon in the face. The already cracked face plate shattered. The large serpent crashed to the ground. Kirin appeared right in front of the mega digimon’s face an eye blink after it landed.
“How dare you take his form and do this?! Reveal yourself! STOP HIDING IN THE BODY OF GOODNESS!” Kirin yelled into Azulongmon’s face. He held out his hand and the thunder lance formed in it.
“REVEAL MYSELF? I GUESS THIS BODY HAS SERVED IT’S PURPOSE. I SHALL NOW SHOW MYSELF TO YOU!” Azulongmon’s entire body turned black and seemed to melt. Hundreds upon hundreds of humanoid looking creatures formed out of the black mass. Each had two arms, two legs, a torso and a head and glowing red eyes Other then that they had no other features.
“MINNA! IMAYO!” Kirin shouted to the digimon waiting not to far off. The hordes of good and bad digimon that had been watching on the ground now rushed in and started to destroy the black creatures.
“FIST OF THE BEAST KING!” A Leomon shouted and sent his attack to vaporized ten of the black creatures.
“FIRE BLAST!” “FIRE BREATH!” Hordes of Darktyranomon and Tyranomon rushed forward and incinerated dozens of the creatures.
Dozens of Knightmon used their huge swords and sliced five of the things in half at once with each stoke of their blades.
Dozens of other groups of digimon came forward and destroyed as many of the black things and they could.
“RAZOR’S EDGE!” Kirin shouted and sent the Thunder Lance whistling through the air as it cut clean through it’s targets effortlessly. He then turned and walked back to Tai and Matt. They watched him waiting for what Kirin would do next.
“What was that thing?” Matt asked Kirin when he had reached them.
“Pure evil.” Was his emotionless reply. He knelt down and placed a hand on Matt’s cheek. Kirin closed his eyes. Matt sucked in a deep breath as a sudden extreme cold seemed to settle in him. He squeezed his eyes shut and tensed in Tai’s arms. He relaxed as a slow calming warmth spread from where Kirin’s hand was placed on his cheek then spread throughout Matt’s body. Kirin pulled his hand away and Matt opened his eyes. Tai looked down at him worriedly. Matt smiled at him. Tai returned the smile as he saw that there was no trace of the huge gash that had been on Matt’s cheek. Tai looked up at Kirin as he put a hand on either side of Tai’s face. Matt watched Tai as he was healed. They looked at Kirin as he pulled his hands away from Tai. They felt relief and regret from the boy. He seemed sad that they had been hurt in a fight that they weren’t apart of, at least not yet.
“Gekido to hakai no Tenchi.” A Devimon said from behind Kirin.
Kirin stood up, but didn’t turn around. “Hai.” Was all he said.
“Next time we meet we will be enemies once again.” The devimon said.
“Wakarimashta.” Kirin said in response.
The Devimon nodded and flew up into the air. “IKEMASHOU!” It shouted and flew off. The other evil digimon following him. The rest of the good digimon wondered off in separate directions.
Kirin turned around and walked over to a Tyranomon that was laying on the floor. Kirin stepped up to it’s face and put his head against the digimon’s, he then closed his eyes. “Arigatou.” He whispered. The Tyranomon opened it’s eyes and looked at Kirin with a weak look, the look one gets when they know that their time has come. “Gomen ne.” Kirin whispered to it. The digimon closed it’s eyes once again and started to dissipate into tiny particles. The symbol on Kirin’s forehead glowed as the last bits of the Tyranomon blew away in the wind. “Sayonara.” He said and opened his eyes. The symbol faded away. Kirin started to walk away.
Matt and Tai stood up and walked after Kirin. “Wait! What was all that about? Kirin? KIRIN! ANSWER ME!” Tai yelled at the boy.
“Until next we meet.” He caught the lance as it came to him. He then walked on and faded away.
“Just when you think we possibly know all there is to know about this place it goes and gets even more weirder.” Matt said
Tai looked at him but didn’t respond.
“TAICHI!”
Both men turned at the sound of their names. Their little siblings ran over and crashed into them. Nearly knocking them down as well. Tai and Matt looked and saw the others running to them too. They smiled and waited for their friends to catch up. They were assaulted with dozens of questions at once.
“HOLD ON HOLD ON!” Tai said laughing. “We’ll explain as best we can, then we’ll answer any questions when we are done ok?” Everyone nodded.
“AWWWWW MAN!” Everyone looked at Davis in alarm. “Now that we found Tai, this means I’m not in charge anymore!” He pouted.
Everyone rolled their eyes. Matt and Tai arched an eyebrow and looked at them questioningly.
“Well you guys want to go first of should we?” Matt asked.
“Seems like you have a more interesting story to tell from the looks of this place.” Ken said looking around.
“Yeah you two go first.” Michael said.
“Alright then, lets get started.” Tai said. He looked out over the land and wondered just what was all this about. He truly did want to know whether Kirin was a friend or an enemy.

Well that was chapter 3. Pretty weird huh? Well some things will become clear later on. MUCH LATER ON. I’m going to be taking a leave of absence from this fic for a while to write some other fics. I’ll pick it back up don’t worry! Just once ppl really start demanding for this thing to be updated I will, but for now. ESTA TERMINADO!
Well Kirin didn’t really do much attacking in this fic, Told you I want to start moving the plot along and I’m trying my best. But it’s just that this story is SO complex. REALLY IT IS! Just wait till I get some of the other chapters up you’ll see what I mean.
