"There was a land of Cavaliers and Cotton Fields called the Old South... Here in this pretty world Gallantry took its last bow... Here was the last ever to be seen of Knights and their Ladies Fair, of Master & of Slave... Look for it only in the books, for it is no more than a dream remembered a Civilazation.

I have loved the movie Gone With The Wind ever since I was young. And they had just made it into a colorized verison. The school class that I was in took us to see it. Oh that was the most outstanding movie to this day that I have seen and loved. So much I named my youngest daughter Melanie from the movie.

"Gone With The Wind" was published on June 30, 1936. Written by Margaret Mitchell

Margaret Mitchell won a Pulitzer Prize in 1937 for "Gone With The Wind". "Gone With The Wind" has sold more copies worldwide than any other book except the Bible.

On the next few pages is some of my favoite memories from the movie and some great links I have found. Hope you enjoy
