Dr. mat. DANUT MARCU
I was born in Bucharest, Romania (Europe), on January 11th, 1952.
In 1974 and 1975, I received my B.S. and M.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science, respectively, from the University of Bucharest, under the guidance of Professors Sergiu Rudeanu and Ioan Tomescu, respectively.
In 1979, I received my IT Systems Analyst Diploma, from the Research Institute for Industrial and Economic Informatics (Bucharest - Romania), under the guidance of Professors Vicky Goldenberg and Relly Iesan.
In 1981, I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics (probabilities, statistics, operations research and applications), from the University of Bucharest, under the guidance of Professor Sergiu Rudeanu.
In 1994, I received my E.M.B.A. in Telecommunications, from the I.R.I. - Italy, under the guidance of Professor Franca Milani Marchiori.
In 1996, I attended a Course on " T.M.N. ", at the National Institute of Telecommunications (Evry - France).
In 1999, I attended a Course on " Traffic Forecasting and Investment Appraisal ", at the Infogroup Consulting (Athens - Greece).
Now, I am IT&C Expert.
My main fields of research consist of graph theory, matroid theory, numerical analysis, operations research, discrete optimization, statistics, probabilities, number theory, teletraffic and computer programming (I am the author of more than 400 papers on mathematics, teletraffic and computer science).
Since 1997, I was an active member of the New York Academy of Sciences, and I have been included in " Who's Who in the World " and " Who's Who in Science and Engineering ", since 2001.

I am married to Sanda, which is Telecommunications Senior Engineer.
