The society is now registered under VAJRAYANA BUDDHIST CENTER and genuinely practicing tibetan vajrayana of the nyingma sect, specifically the LINEAGE OF DUDJOM NEW TREASURE.
After Buddha Shakyamuni's passing away, Guru Padmasambhava (Tib: Guru Rinpoche, literally "Precious Guru") continued teaching Vajrayana, and the teachings became more and more popular. Guru Padmasambhava is really a second Lord Buddha, there is absolutely no different between Lord Buddha and Guru Padmasambhava. Originally Lord Buddha's teachings was from India, Buddha's birth place. Similarly, Vajrayana teachings also started there. Presently, Vajrayana is famous all over the world, particularly in the Western countries and Europe. This is due to the great kindness and wisdom of many Tibetan masters who visit all these places to teach while making tremendous personal sacrifices in doing so.
A person who wishes to practice Vajrayana Buddhism to benefit sentient beings must never simply begin to practice on his own. He must obtain the necessary transmission and initiations from his Vajra Master, and from then on practice only the teachings of his master's lineage until the end of his life.
At Dudjom New Treasure Buddhist Society (a legally registered body), the genuine and correct way to practice Vajrayana Buddhism is taught. Since 1992,when the society was formed, numerous Buddhist Dharma activities have been carried out, all according to the Dudjom lineage of the Nyingmapa sect of Vajrayana Buddhism. There are about a hundred members and yogis at the society practicing this pure and genuine lineage. The Yogi is a lay practitioner, who resembles the monk, in that the Yogi is allowed to wear robes and keep vows; however the monk keeps Sutra Vows and wears Sutra robes where the Yogi wears Tantra robes and keeps vows of Tantra practice (hence the yogi is also not the same as the normal lay practitioner of other Buddhist traditions.
