NUNN
                              NUNN
Nunn had its beginnings in 1869 when the Denver and Pacific Railroad came through from Cheyenne to Evans. It was originally called Maynard Flats, for Captain Maynard who had a farm near Carr.  Later it was renamed Nunn after Tom Nunn, a homesteader living southeast of the townsite near the railroad tracks.  Tom Nunn had saved a train by flagging it down and stopping it.  He had discovered a bridge on fire a few miles down the tracks. Tom lived in the area until he died in 1931.
Today, Nunn still has a few residents and a post office still operates here.  There are a few historic buildings that still stand at Nunn.  A few examples are below.
