In loving memory of a good horse, a great friend and wonderful companion.  Blackie was a gift to us, a gift of love.

Everyone should be so blessed!

He was really with us for only a short time, from 27 May 2002 to 20 March 2003, but he'll always be with us in our hearts.

These pages are stories of horses collected from various sources around the web.  They're all stories of love.  Some are stories of loss, some are stories of new-found life and hope.
All are dedicated to his memory.

Any button below will open to a new screen, buttons on the following story-pages will keep you on the same screen.  We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

.

If you should have a story of your own that you'd like to share through these pages,
just write us by clicking this line.

The very first story, by the way, is very special - at least to me.
Blackie was "just a horse" - he wasn't anything in particular to anyone else in the world,
Except me.

This one's dedicated to my boy.

When the Almighty put hooves on the wind
and a bridle on the lightning,
He called it a horse.

In the end, all that matters is
How well you lived
How well you loved
And how well you learned to let go
