Victorian Doll Bench

Cut from 1/4" solid Black Cherry, this sleigh stands 7" high, 4.5" wide and 12" long. It's most commonly used as a candy or nut dish, sometimes serves as a card holder.
This creation was the inspiration for my shop's logo (page 2), which is the prancing reindeer. This particular unit was cut from several types of wood and stands 12" high with the base measuring 29" long and 8" wide. Woods used for the sleigh sides (reading from the edges to the center) are Black Walnut, Tulip Poplar, English Walnut and Black Cherry. The back & seat are Red Oak, Black Cherry, English Walnut and Tulip Poplar. The deer and base are English Walnut and Black Cherry, alternating.
This creation is perfect for that special doll that you want displayed in a sophisticated manner for all to see. This particular unit was cut from 3/4" solid Black Cherry and stands 14" high overall, 20" long and 10" deep. I've also cut several from Red Oak and Black Walnut. All are fabulous, no matter what wood you might choose.
