Blue Hills Flyers
Centered around the beautiful Blue Hills
GENERAL INFORMATION
BACKGROUND: Local EAA Chapter 631 is part of the Experimental Aircraft
Association which is headquartered in Oshkosh. The club was initially
formed at Ladysmith in 1977. In later years more
and more members from the Rice Lake and surrounding area have joined
the club.
Chapter 631 is a group of aviation enthusiasts dedicated to the
promotion of grass roots aviation; that is, the building of aircraft at
home, the restoration of antique and classic aircraft and promoting and
sharing the enjoyment of flying all types of privately owned aircraft.
MEMBERSHIP: Open to everyone. The club currently has approximately 50
members. Meetings are held the first Tuesday each month at one of the
airports in the local area. The activities of the club include an
annual fly-in drive-in picnic, providing safety ground support to
several local fly-ins and airshows, Adopt-A-Highway cleanup on highway
8 west of Cameron, an annual holiday season banquet and participation
in the Young
Eagles Program.
