Yay
for not updating in FOREVER. I had no idea school could take up
so much of my time. UIL was yesterday and I got 2nd in Number
Sense, so that means I'll be going to Region in SA sometime
soon. Katie got 1st in Poetry (yay!) and Alexis got 1st in Prose
(MY HERO!). Yeah other news about this weekend: my godsister
(godmother's daughter) Cassie came over and spent the night last
night, along with hanging out with me, Aviva, and Asha down at
the Union Underground for bowling, air hockey, and bubble tea.
She was The Rad One, Aviva was The Armadillo, I was The Number
One, and Asha was The Short One. Of course! As for BT, it was
her first time EVER to have it, so she got the Taro. Yeah great
experience there. Had a fun time last night, got to talk w/ her
a lot and jam in the car w/ my friends. Vivz, you still gotta
burn me that CD. It's badass.
Ooh thunder. This past week has been beautiful weather
along with the perfect time (or at least as perfect as can be
without the perfect guy), so it makes sense that it's starting
to rain as the weekend wraps up. I don't even remember what
homework I have. Oh well. Screw that. At least I know I don't
have to do that research project *cough* GARY *cough* since I
turned it in Friday. I wonder if Johnson's doing the same thing.
*shrug* Was there chem? Ah no, there was a test. Math? Yeah I
bet there was. SCREW THAT TOO! Hmm I really should work on my
Duo. We have two weeks, Gary. 2. Count them. I didn't read AQWF,
either. I'm such a bad person. But I had so much fun!!!!! Yes I
said the F word. I think I'll finish this now, since I can't
think of what else to say.
Conclusion: I haven't had this much fun in a LONG
time. |

I
feel so great today. Sorry for the lack of updates over the
past, er, month. I also have no excuses to offer you other than
my laziness and the fact that I kept procrastinating. You know,
it's really easy to keep secrets from people. I'm quite
surprised at how keeping one's mouth shut changes so many
aspects of life. Today (or yesterday, technically - it's 1:09 am
Sunday morning) was incredibly relaxing and reflective. My
entire morning was spent lounging in bed, absorbing as much
sleep as I could muster. It totaled up to about 12 hours, as I
got up around 11:30. I went straight to the game room where I
then collapsed in front of the TV to watch Pocahontas and The
Lion King. Most excellent. Throughout the day, I traveled
between the computer and television, which sounds sad but
considering the rarity of that event, it was more relaxing than
antisocial. Tomorrow (Today) is the Superbowl!!! And that means
Super Ads to watch and laugh at. And that means the SNL Halftime
Show instead of whomever is playing. I wonder if they'll do the
Chris Kattan as Gollum thing again. Now THAT was classic.
On another note, I made a new graphic along with creating
a Deviant Art
account. I'm not sure if I'll have the effort to upload it
tonight, but IM me and I'll do it then. I'm too tired.
Conclusion: It's 1:42 am and I want to go to sleep.
Goodnight. |

Hehe!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE! Lots of stuff's happened, but I'll just
update you on the more recent stuff. Finals are over, and I
lived. Yeah, even I am amazed. Friday night, I went to
the Trail of Lights w/ Jane, Alli, Dan, Sam, Lindsay, and Dylan.
Did I get everyone? Hopefully. There was a white elephant, and I
brought Pass The Pigs to receive a pair of dress-up antlers. I
kinda wanted the "Christmas With Pavaratti" CD,
though. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. Here's the turn
for the worse: That night, I develop a nasty bit of the flu just
in time for vacation! :P Ick. I had a fluctuating fever for two
days, and now I'm left with a terrible cough and nose issues. Oh
yeah, and now my DAD has the flu. Just to add a bit of guilt to
the mix.
I also got the greatest non-material Christmas gift I
could receive, at least in my mind at the moment. For those who
don't know, my uncle Doug Polen has won the world superbike
championship 4 times (its a motorcycle competition thing) and
now owns a shop in LA. And, for those of you who don't know this,
Catherine Bell (Mac on JAG, my absolute IDOL!) is crazy about
motorcycles. Being a TV actress, she also lives in LA. Stupid
me, I never made any connections. Well, my uncle came to visit
this weekend while I was sick. I turn on JAG w/ my aunt in the
room and she's like "You watch JAG?!" and I nod of
course and she's like "You see that actress playing
Mac?" "Yeah, Catherine Bell, isn't she awesome?" "Yeah,
she's one of our FRIENDS!" Excuse
me while I scream from joy into a pillow for the thousandth
time. Okay, I feel better. THEY KNOW HER PERSONALLY! She comes
to their shop all the time! They also are good friends with her
husband Adam AND THEY'VE SEEN BABY GEMMA!!! I just wanna die of
happiness! Doug says they keep getting invited to the set but
have to turn them down because they don't have time. Ooohhhh
make time and when you do, TAKE ME WITH YOU! I can hardly
believe it... Catherine Bell... WOW! HEHE! *content, happy sigh*
Oh, that makes my Christmas, all right. Merry
Christmas, everyone! (Exceeeeeeept Hitler!)
Conclusion: Catherine Bell... WOW... I need to go visit
sometime... |

Sorry.
I'm just... not in the mood to write right now. Please, don't
yell at me. Check the art page for some new artwork. Also, my
Glamour Shots came in yesterday and I scanned a few in for your
viewing pleasure. If you want to see them, IM or email me.
Heck,
I might as well write. To further complicate my decision-making
process senior year, I looked up some stuff on what it's like
being a film/television production manager. The first thing I
read about them that tuned me in was the financial aspect. A
production manager is mainly about choosing the material, cast,
crew, etc that gives you the best bang for your buck. That's
interesting I think, although I'm not sure it's for me. I'm
asking my parents for a camcorder for Christmas so I can make
movies over long vacations such as this one. I think I'll look
up some more stuff...
Oh, Nicholas Nickleby went... better than expected. Aviva
and I got 99 on our IRP. And I got 4th in Prose at Round Rock.
UT IS THIS WEEK! AAA! *faints*
Conclusion: My busy schedule looms over the horizon.

Wow.
Sorry y'all. I haven't updated in 20 days. I've been slightly
busy, making sure to pull an A in PreCal after that shitty test.
I pulled the worst average I've EVER gotten in math this past six
weeks: 91. Major suckage. But hey, the rest of my grades were
awesome. Chemistry rocks. I understand everything and I'm making
hundreds on tests. Good sign, right? English was a high A until
that test which brought it down to a 95. Damn. I talk English
good, really I do! Orchestra is a no-brainer, and there's a
chair test next week so I hope I do well and don't get last
chair. Or second to last chair, which is what I am now. :(
Anyway, World History is fun because it's something I know well
and also because Fitz is awesome. Duh. I didn't tell anyone yet,
but I think I'm failing lunch. Just a feeling I get in the pit
of my stoma... yeah I won't finish that because it's just too
awful of a pun to pollute my keyboard with writing. French. What
the hell do you THINK I make in that class?! J'ai une très
bonne note. Oral Interp... prolly like a 98 or something because
Harlan hates me and won't give out hundreds unless your name is
Gary. :) Yes, I DID just say that, Gary, so don't IM me asking
"Why did you write that?!" because I just did and it's
true and you KNOW it. :P
Enough about grades. Nicholas Nickleby is tomorrow and
Saturday, and then it's OVER! THANK GOD! I royally hate this
play because it's simply impossible to not have over a hundred
plot holes when you cut an eight-hour play down to two. Plus the
cast is too big, the stage is too simple, and no one laughs at
half the jokes. Oh well. Come see the show Saturday night and we
won't suck as much, we swear!
Oh, and Gary and I did our duet (Proof by David Auburn) at
Hays and we broke to semis! Yay! Problem: Our semis room was
really really tough and we didn't break to finals. Oh well.
We'll kick butt at Round Rock. I also broke to semis in prose
but majorly sucked and didn't pop right and stumbled and... ugh
it just was not a good performance all around. I need to spend a
day on my prose in OI just to get it back under my fingers... I
mean lips. Orchestra term, sorry.
I think I'll try to catch a few winks now. Oh, and I'm
posting the NN poster and program cover on the AE
page. I'm going to try to assemble a homecoming collage when
I find the time, and maybe a NN cast party one if I have
enough pictures. Who knows.
Conclusion: JAG and JOA tomorrow! I'm bringing my mom's
really really old mini-tv that has a 2" screen. It's
cute... no really! |

Well,
a lot of people already know my costume so I might as well put
it on here. I'm gonna be Roxie Hart, hopefully w/ Aviva as Velma
Kelly, confirmation pending our plans that night. We took
measurements yesterday, and my mom cut out the patterns this
morning. After the costumes, it's SUIT TIME! Woo!
A lot of stuff's been going on since I last updated. I'll
start with homecoming. Fun stuff! I lead a conga line! Yeah the
highlight of the night. The day started out great, with Aviva
and I going shopping for a dress. We found this GORGEOUS dress
that last year would have gone for 200 dollars in prom season,
but we got it for 25 freaking bucks. 25! Amazing number. It's a
depressing number... oh dear quoting duet. (Yes Gary I'll get it
memorized by Monday, so you better, too.) So yeah, we go back to
my house and on the way pick up Alli so we can all get ready and
have fun and be girly and all that jazz... rouge my knees... not
that kind. So I pull out my two dresses I can't choose between
and ONE OF THEM IS THE ONE ALLI IS GOING TO WEAR! Ahhhhh that
was HILARIOUS! :) Priceless. So yeah, I choose the other one and
then we get picked up by Alli's parents early and are dropped at
Aviva's house, where I borrow one of her dresses from like 8th
grade or something. It fits me (duh) and we basically switch
roles for the night. Aviva looks like some turquoise angel and
I'm attacked by Aviva's eyeliner and look like some hooker.
Pretty funny, once all's said and done. If you weren't there,
you missed some good times. HOLY $@#! Johnson Brock can dance
like no other... Megan we are soooo dragging him to swing next
week. I don't care how much he screams. *sadistic grin* Soooo,
speaking of swing...
Yes on to Thursday... OH WAIT! Forgot to mention that WE
WON THE DOOR CONTEST! All that hard work of decorating the door
with King Kong paid off, and we get doughnuts on Monday. And
Tuesday was excellent, too, because I had NO HOMEWORK! Well, I
did, but I finished each assignment in the class it was assigned
so I didn't have to do anything at home. Wait, it was Monday.
Tuesday was the PSAT. Forgot to mention that, too. Whoops. Yeah
it was really easy and I got out of class. What could be better?
The weekend, I suppose. Okay, on to Thursday.
Thursday was EXCELLENT also. English was, suffice it to
say, "Bow-chica-wowow! CENSORED." Hehe! Stupid quotes
time! "I'm pretty... I'm pret- MEN?!" "...arrived
at... -There's a sign here. - Oh? -It says Aiaia. -You mean
like, Aiiyiiiiiyiiiiiyiiiyiii!!!!!? -Yeah, but with less
enthusiasm. -Oh." "She turned them into pigs! To pigs?
To pigs! To pigs." And the best of all:
"Whoa."
"I know."
HA!
Ah good times. Chile Con Carnivale time is here! Me, Maddie,
Teresa, Ally, and a few other people have been dancing our asses
off from the Latin music. And Nick Young won't stop hitting on
me, dammit. lol. Shame on you if you aren't coming to the
concert. You're missing out on the best music, costumes, and
FOOD of the entire year. Fie for shame! Thursday was also the
choir concert. Everyone sounded amazing. I have no idea why Jane
and Megan were so paranoid of sucking. Oh wait, yes I do.
They're GT perfectionists! Duh! After choir we went to, where
else, SWING! That was fun, although I think next week will be
even better. This week was Megan, Me, Katie, Jane, Kaitlyn and
her posse, John squared, Heather, and COLTON?! Shrug. I'm
improving! Yay! I was really on that night, I think. A few
inside jokes from that: "I heard the word highschool..."
"Damn lost another!" "Minced shrimp... yeaaah."
And the top joke of the night:
Meg's
mom: "Time for How To Lose A Guy In 10 Minutes!"
Meg: "It's 10 Days!"
Meg's mom: "Oh, we don't need that long!"
Now
for tonight. Made CPK BBQ Chicken pizza (boxed kind) and watched
Joan of Arcadia, JAG, and then I Love The 80's! Joan of Arcadia
was pretty haunting and another thinker as usual. JAG was SO
SUSPENSEFUL! Wow what an episode. Harm has to land a C-130 (big
plane) on a carrier at night with damaged engines and women and
children and the landing gear won't work. Amazing directing.
Very real. B story: Finally Sturgis pulled his head out of his
ass and showed a bit of humility. The previews for next week
have Harm getting fired from the CIA ("My life is full of
surprises.") and now he's cropdusting?!!? What the fuck are
the writers doing? I think he's supposed to return to JAG by the
end of next episode though. I just need to see how it pans out.
Conclusion: I'm exhausted from this week and now I'm off
to bed. Oh yeah, and I forgot to talk about the PEP RALLY! Holy
crap. The Village People, aka John, Barrett, Ross, and Mason.
Holy hotness in a can. Whatever that expression came from. NOOOO
why did they CHANGE CLOTHES?! Ross doesn't need a shirt... lolol
jk jk! I dunno, Megs, was that a tat? We need to ask him. |

This
three-day weekend has come to a close. I had fun, I guess. I
wish I could have slept more. I also wish my internet connection
would stop fucking up. It's really pissing me off. I might as
well start with Sunday:
Woke up at 10 to call Mr. Vandam (left a message) and
Diane (line was busy until noon). Went to mall around 1 and met
up with Alli. Had lots of fun. Ate BBQ Chicken Pizza from CPK.
Yum. Didn't buy a thing because I was flat broke. Went home.
Helped Gary with a Paintshop image. Slept.
Today was a bit more interesting. Sorry if it seems rushed
and boring, but I'm in a hurry because of this stupid connection
and my uber-tiredness. I woke up at 8:59 this morning, fell back
asleep, then was woken up by my mother at 10 telling me to get
up so WE can shop. Deja-vu. We go to Highland Mall, Burlington
CF, Pappasito's, Halloween Superstore, and finally JoAnn
Fabrics. I GOT A SUIT PATTERN! YAY! It's pretty. I like it. All
we have to do now is make it. Oh, and speaking of sewing
things... :)
IT'S
TIME FOR A NEW CONTEST!
Hehe.
Okay, the following people cannot compete: Allison Harris, Aviva
Pinchas. They already know what it is. The question:
What
will I be for Halloween?
I
went shopping for a bit of it today, the rest my mom and I will
make. Hmm What else to talk about? Ah. I know.
I really need to talk to Aviva.
Conclusion: If your name is Aviva, call me. If your name is
Gary, don't. You've used up waaaay too many of my minutes already.
I say that in a happy voice. :) |

Excellent
day. I'M BACK! Hehe. Yes, everyone who was slightly confused as
to where the old Amy was, well, here I am. If you weren't
confused, don't be now. I had a bad few weeks (dunno why) but
now I'm back to my hyper, happy self. I was so back, I even
played The Sims! It's funny, I've owned Unleashed since
Christmas, but never played it. I created Alexis Legume (Yes,
Legume. It's French. Sure.), this nice woman with a nice house,
not too big, not too small, and a nice dalmatian named Odysseus.
Stop laughing. Stop it now. I couldn't think of another name,
okay? :) So yeah, Unleashed is really cool. I don't have
Superstar yet, and the FINAL expansion pack is coming out soon,
called Makin' Magic. Coming in November. Guess what is coming in
spring: THE SIMS 2! Hehe!
Cast pictures were taken Thursday, and Mr. Vandam tried to
send them to my email today. I only got two before my mailbox
yelled at me saying I didn't have space. I need to call him
tomorrow morning. I hope I have the right phone number. I need
to call Diane tomorrow morning, too. Shit. There goes my
internet connection. ACK AND DIANE WAS ON! Nooo come back stupid
internet connection! Come back! I have to talk to Diane! Grr! I
might not even upload this for awhile since the connection died.
Oh well. I'm sorry if I'm waking you up tomorrow, Diane.
Hehe. I put all my mp3s on shuffle. Beware of grape with
wooden mallet. Ha! Veggie Tales - Do The Moo Shu! And switching
to Montgomery Gentry - Speed. Talk about mellow. I have so many
country songs. I like new country. I don't like old country. I
am using very simple sentence structure. Ms. Houston would not
like this.
I dunno if I'm still going to homecoming with PJ. I'll
have to check w/ him this week to see if it's still on or if
he's ditched me for another girl. I will refrain from comment to
avoid sounding insulting. Too late, I bet. Anyone else going? I
need to buy shoes. Hey, that's what tomorrow is for! Shopping!
Woo!
Ah After Midnight from Chicago. It isn't yet, that's just
the name of the song. It's 11:22 pm, actually. I really need
this connection to get back up so I can stop typing random shit
and UPLOAD THIS! Here, I'll type all the songs that play between
now and when my connection gets back up. Or whenever I give up.
Evan and Jaron - Crazy For This Girl
Avril Lavigne - Naked
Simple Plan - Addicted (how true)
Good Charlotte - The Little Things
Train - Drops Of Jupiter
Amy Potter - I Give Up On This F***ing Connection
Conclusion: Hopefully I'll blog tomorrow night, also. |

Nice
day. Calm day. Nothing exciting really happened. Asha lost her
voice (what? I can't hear you!) and Gary was gone for Yom
Kippur. Silly Aviva, going to school when she didn't have to. :)
In math this morning, Ms. Bingham proved herself the Webb-Duke
mix. She wouldn't listen to reason and demanded she was right on
a quiz question when the entire class disagreed. And the class
was right. She didn't specify something in the problem and
assumed we knew since it was "in the book" but
actually the book problem had it stated in each problem, and
hers didn't. Long story short, she's pissed and stubborn and the
class is pissed and wondering why the hell she won't listen to
our explanation. She had no argument to back up her position.
Heh, and John Parker is in my class and we're fresh from a
forensics tourney, so THAT was fun. We listened to a soloist
from Southwestern all through orchestra. Lunch was tasty. I
worked on determining an HI during interp. There was a cast
meeting after school, where not much happened. Neeta's car
didn't start, so I hitched a ride with Ryan. Then I went to the
girl scout cookie training meeting to help out. That's about it.
Boring day.
Conclusion: Hopefully Gary will bring Proof
tomorrow so we might be able to start cutting. If we even need
to cut it. We should read it aloud tomorrow at least. Oh, and
the blog archives are updated and this page is UNCLUTTERED now! |
