Restoration of
Early Light's
Sailing Dinghy

With the quarter knees installed, I decided to lay up the first layer of 3/8" x 1.5" teak on the outside of the transom (both port and starboard sides).

Transom with first of 2 outer laminations

Once the epoxy had cured thoroughly, the inside layer of 3/8" x 1.5" teak was laminated to each side of the transom.

The final layer of 3/8" x 1.5" teak was cut and fit for the outside of the transom (both port and starboard sides) and glued up. Once cured, this finishes the transom work with the exception of sanding and the application of Cetol finish.

removed but still needing some sanding.
