The next morning the second lamination was added to the port gunwhale. This time I was able to clamp the outer lamination at the stern to the one previously installed. Once the epoxy had fully cured I cleaned up the glue joints with some coarse sandpaper in preparation for the lamination of the inwhale on the port side. The photos below show the port side gunwhale laminations







The next step was to add the inwhale on the port side. The inwhale was cut to length and then laminated to the inside of the hull. This was the last of the tedious fitting on the port side and all that remains is to repeat the procedure on the starboard side.

The clamps were removed the next morning and the port gunwhale/inwhale received a rough sanding. The photo below shows the completed port side.

With the port side completed, I next moved on to the starboard side and glued up the first gunwhale lamination.
