AUTUMN..by

'TIS AUTUMN

THE LEAVES ARE FALLING
AUTUMN IS HERE
OLD MOTHER NATURE SAYS
WINTER IS NEAR..

AND THE GROUND IS COVERED
WITH GOLDEN LEAVES
SHAKEN TO EARTH
BY HEAVEN'S BREEZE

'TIS AUTUMN

FROM TREE TO TREE
THE SQUIRRELS ARE AT PLAY
HARVESTING NUTS
TO STORE AWAY

THAT COTTONTAIL RABBIT
IS JUMPIN' AROUND
SEEKING A BED
ON THE LEAF COVERED GROUND

'TIS AUTUMN

THE DEER FINDING COMFORT
FROM THE AUTUMN  COLD
AND DODGING THE HUNTERS
AS THE NORTH WIND BLOWS

THE NIGHTBIRD CALLS
AT THE HARVEST MOON
HE SINGS A SWEET SONG
'CAUSE HE'S LEAVING SOON..

'TIS AUTUMN.......
