Here are some pics of the two X-Wing models that I have built so far. The kit is a 1/72 scale made by Fine Molds out of Japan. I have to say I am very impressed by the kit. It is the most accurate and detailed I have seen. It includes options for Red 1,2,3,and 5. Different decals for all 4 fighters in weathered or non-weatherd versions, plus differnt droid heads. I highly recommended the kit. They have also released a TIE fighter, which I have yet to build, and have a Jedi Starfighter from Episode II in production due out this summer. If the detail holds, many fans will be happy! I built one fighter up as Red 5 straight out of the box. The decals give it a very complete look with minimal painting. I have yet to weather the kit, as I havent remastered the technique yet. The other kit I modified into what i call a Heavy Assault X-Wing. I kitbashed and created two Heavy Laser Cannon pods for the low S-Foils, and added a third Proton Torpedo Launcher centerline under the fuselage. I painted it in Flat black with blue insignia as Blue 2. No particular reason, except I liked the combo. Let me know what you think!
