This is an addition to my car collection. These cars have a little history on them, and what I'm about to tell you might only be about 95% correct. The Buick Regal Grand Nationals that had the 3.8 turbos were discontinued in I believe 1988. Buick had 1555 of them left on the shelves and they couldn't put them on their front wheel drive cars because the engines had too much power. So 1989 being the 20th anniversary of the TransAms, Pontic decided to use them. Well. there are 39 of them were ?HARDTOPS?, out of the 39, 24 of them came with leather interior options and the other 15 came with the cloth interior options. Well the previous owner told me that there are 3 documented ?HARDTOP, LEATHER INTERIOR? Turbo GTA's in Houston and I happen to own one of them now! The modifications right now are only a 3rd stage garrette turbo. I just got it rebuilt for $475. |
