STOP AT A (INSERT PRIZE HERE)!!!! |
Although contestants flipped out when they hit this, it WASN'T the most expensive prize on the board. |
Along with the tons of cash that could be won, there were also several prize squares. In round 1, prize values ranged from $0 to $1500. In Round 2, they ranged from $1500 to a whopping $7000! Whenever a prize was hit, they showed the happy contestant and secretly changed the slide to another prize. Prizes were also up for grabs to the Whammies. |
Add-A-One, debuting in late 1984, was an easy way to rack up MEGA BUCKS in Round 1. Just hope you have more than $0... |
However, 2 very special prizes debuted in 1984. Add-A-One, debuting in late 1984, added a 1 at the beginning of the lucky player's score. For example, $5000 became $15000! Almost everybody who got 5 digits upon hitting this passed their spins IMMEDIATELY. After all, $12765 is way too much to lose in Round 1!!! Another was the Double Your $$ square, debuting in VERY early 1984. This simply doubled a player's score. For example, $10000 became $20000. Later in the year, an extra spin was soon tacked on, making it probably the best prize in the game... depending on your score upon hitting it! |
