Overhauled project |
Thank you for visiting the "education for the street
child project page". This project is intended to use Information
Technology (I.T) in solving community problems. We are aware that
this is a global issue, thus we are calling upon you to exchange
ideas to minimize its resistance through helping and catering for
the street children in basic needs like medical care, clothing,
food e.t.c plus supporting them in school. The main aim of this
project is to create a conducive atmosphere for the street child
and global awareness about the state of the street child in
Kampala, Uganda and the entire world at large about their
suffering, way of life, means of survival. The numbers of
street children in Kampala alone is frightening, recently the
mayor of Kampala city Ssebana Kizito outlined that there are at
least 4000 street children in Kampala. We felt the heart to help
these needy children because they are our fellows in that they
also want to get access to education and a better way of life
stimulated by the interview we conducted with most of them on the
streets. |
