The Bloody Mess Interview

Jack Ketch: What's the history of Bloody Mess?

Bloody Mess: Started singing in punk bands in the early 80's. My band "Hate" was causing chaos in the Midwest for years and I was in earlier bands, "Chips Patroll" and "Unaccepted," too. Bloody Mess & The Skabs formed on Halloween of 1988. We've played and toured all over parts of the underground USA. Our last record will be released soon and now I'm in an outlaw country band (with no name yet). I formed the Country Trash Punks and we did a record together for Baloney Shrapnel Records. Check it out you fucking redneck motherfuckers. This ain't no punk you punks!

JK: Can you tell me about your Country Trash Punks project?

BM: The Country Trash Punks was a studio project with some great country musicians. It was a warm up to my new band. The four song EP can be obtained by sending $3.50 to:

Baloney Shrapnel Records
PO Box 6504
Phoenix, AZ 85005.

The bass player is Kevin Beverage. He also played with the Skabs "live" and on a few records. Buy or die.

JK: Which serial killers have done artwork for you?

BM: Gacy did the cover art for the first Skabs 7" in 1988, before it was trendy. Kenneth Bianchi drew the poster art that cums with the Empty record.

JK: Who all have you visited? Who are you still pen pals with?

BM: I visited John Wayne Gacy several times in 1989 and 1990. I've been in touch with Manson, Ottis Toole, Squeaky Fromme and others. I'm not in touch with any of them now.

JK: Who would you like to kill? How would you do it?

BM: If I wanted to kill someone I suppose I would just fucking do it. I wouldn't talk about it ahead of time. That would be crying wolf, wouldn't it?

JK: How many recordings do you have of you and GG Allin together? What are they?

BM: If you can find a copy of The Bloody Years CD then that's pretty much all I have to offer. I do have more phone recordings, but big deal.

JK: I ask just about everyone that's worked with GG - did you fuck him?!

BM: Nope. I sure didn't. Talk to Merle (his sister).

JK: Can you tell me about the night you and GG got thrown out of a gay bar?!

BM: We got drunk on beer and Jim Beam and smoked lots of pot. We went around town causing trouble. We were at the Club Peorian Gay Disco and I started yelling "We're all fucking faggots!" and some gay fucker got pissed and called the pigs. We threw some chairs and terrorized some lesbians who were playing pool. We left just as the cops came in another door. We got wasted all night and jammed and ate pills.

JK: Do you have any other crazy stories?

BM: Too many to write about in this limited of a forum, you know? I've been raising Hell for a long ass time. Check out some of my videos. I have a list.

JK: What are the voices in your head telling you to say to the impotent bastard reading this?

BM: Write to Black & Blue Records for a catalog of Bloody Mess (and GG Allin) records and CD's:

Black & Blue Records
Suite 152
400 D Putnam Pike
Smithfield, RI 02917
USA.

Remember - punk rock must stay underground. If any of you losers want Bloody Mess videos, records, CD's or tapes - write me:

Bloody Mess
PO Box 9021
Peoria, IL 61612
USA

Thanx Jakk! I lived in Greeley, Colorado for awhile in 1987.

"Empty" is Bloody Mess' best song (from what I've heard), and is also available on Hung Over And Stoned from Black & Blue.
