Rocker Paints Secaucus Red, Misses Mort

When Boston rock 'n' roller G.G. Allin was invited to New Jersey last weekend to appear on the "Morton Downey Jr. Show" to discuss "Censorship and Music," it seemed like a good choice.

The producers of the controversial talk show figured Allin's self-described "Freak Show" - an often lewd and destructive act that has been banned in just about every city his group has played - would annoy the audience enough to make for a few interesting confrontations. They never got the chance to find out.

According to his crew, Allin was arrested when he and his troupe trashed and spray-painted the walls of their Secaucus hotel room. Allin never made it onto the show, though photographs of the "trashings" did. The program will air in late September on Ch. 38.
