The rock 'n' roll underground today is a farce, it's what people want you to think is underground, but when it comes to somebody like me, the government, the law enforcement agencies, the United States Secret Service want to put me away. I got arrested in 10 states, had warrants out for me, and I've been to prison because of what I do - because it's uncompromising.
Major labels are afraid of me, so the First Amendment does not matter when it comes to someone like me. When you're on a major label, the First Amendment applies, but if you're someone like me, you're a criminal. But if that's what it takes, a criminal I'll be, because to me, the rock 'n' roll underground must remain dangerous, a threat to society, to the government, and the dagger in the music industry's back.
You'll never see me on a major label. No, I can't be tamed. I'm uncool, unclean, unacceptable. All those corporate businessmen in their three-piece suits, they're not going to sign me, because they know I'm too real. I'm not into this Lollapalooza thing; no corporate sponsor is going to put on a G.G. Allin and the Murder Junkies tour. We're going out there, creating havoc, chaos, and violence, and we're bringing the rock 'n' roll underground back down to where it belongs: to the real non-conformists, to the real outcasts, to the real rebels and terrorists. They're not the fakes, the phonies, not the people who are writing about fiction and then retreating back to the suburbs, retreating back to their wives, kids, and fancy cars or their meals on their kitchen tables.
I'm singing form the street! I'm singing from the man holding that gun! I'm singing from the guy out there who's really pissed off. But you don't want to hear me, because when you hear me, you know I'm not going home to my wife or my kid, cause I ain't got no wife and I don't got no kid and I don't have no relationship.
I don't believe in friendships. I believe in being a warrior soul. I believe that the rock 'n' roll underground must be first and foremost, and this is what I have made my life's mission. I believe in danger, and that's how it has always been to me. When I got involved in rock 'n' roll, it wasn't for the money, it wasn't for the girls. It was a weapon of revenge, it was how I was going to get back at everybody I hated, and as I was growing up my only friend was the music that I created in my head. I got this band together, and we just went in and annihilated - don't expect to come to my shows t have a good time, don't expect to be comfortable. When you enter that door, and you enter a GG Allin concert, you better be prepared for war, because anything will happen, and if you're not ready for that situation, DO NOT ENTER!!!!, because you will be the first one to call the police.
Sure, I've been arrested on stage, and I'll be arrested again, because when I go out on the road, it's not about when will I be back, it's not about making plans for my future. On tour with me you bring the bail money, you wonder when you're going to go to jail, you wonder when the next hospital visit is going to be, you don't even know if you'll be coming back alive. So I don't tell anybody around me, "I'll see you in about six weeks." Maybe you'll see me and maybe you won't. It's very unknown. My show is very real, and it's very bloody. And it's not something we're just putting down, saying this or that. It's real and if you don't believe it, come to the show and find out for yourself. Ask the police departments who've put me in jail after the shows, ask the hospitals who've tried to find me psychiatric help, the doctors who said that I was a suicidal maniac, ask these people how real it is, and you'll find out that GG Allin is one serious motherfucker. And if you're afraid to print this article, then fuck you too.
The rock 'n' roll underground will live in me long after I'm dead and gone because my allies will carry it on. It's time to go into those record stores who don't sell my records and blow these fuckers up, set them on fire. It's time to take action, it's time to revolt. It's time for a war on the rock 'n' roll underground!!! Not these people on these major labels; not these MTV phonies who're trying to predict and brainwash you into thinking this is as dangerous as it get because it is not. "G.G. Allin and the Murder Junkies." That is as real, as dangerous, as bloody, as you will even probably want to get close to.
I want to give you a perfect example: I was sitting in my prison cell one day, and I overheard some prison guards talking last summer about how they attended Lollapalooza. The same tour, the same people who kept me under lock and key, kept me in a fuckin' cage, were talking about how great the Lollapalooza tour was, how they thought that these bands were so wonderful, and I thought to myself, "These motherfuckers, I'm the king of the fucking underground and these motherfuckers are keeping me in a cage and they're supporting these bands."
Well let me tell you one thing: The police, a prison guard, or any member of society will never find me acceptable, because when that happens I'll kill some mother. That will never fucking happen, I assure you. So listen now, kids, listen you people out there who want to be a part of the underground - the "real" underground - it's time to take action, it's time to get some blood on your hands for real, it's time to go against these people, it's time to say okay, I'm not going to deal with you weekend "put up my hair and put on my cool clothes type of people."
We live in the rock 'n' roll underground every fucking hour of every fucking day; I live it. And I will not deal with these people who come in for a few hours and then jump back out - you're in or you're out...period! So it's time for us in the real rock 'n' roll underground to weed out who's real and who isn't. It's time to take on the record stores, the music industry. Whatever it takes. The rock 'n' roll underground will not be sold out in any way, shape, or form, because I and my band will not let that happen. I refuse to compromise in any way. This is war, you're with me or you're not. There are no laws, there are no rules. It's time to break down the boundaries. We in the real rock 'n' roll underground know this, now it's time to spread the rage.
