Here is Jesse's car after having the front sheet metal removed and
some of the paint stripped.
Here is a good picture of the reconstructed headlight areas.
This picture was taken at the 2002 Goodguys Nationals in Columbus Oh.
Here is a decent picture of the 289cu mill installed, noticed all the polished aluminum go-fast goodies.
This car, owned by Jesse Tender of Burgettstown, Pa., has just undergone a full restoration. The original 200 cu six cylinder engine that powered this ride for over 35 years has been shelved in favor of a much hotter 289cu mill. The braking system has almost all totally new hardware. The front end has been rebuilt using parts supplied by PST. The undercarriage has been totally redone using an industrial black coating by Rust Oleum. The exterior of the car has been squirted with the orginal color, Silver Blue poly. The 289cu engine was compleated in the winter/spring 2001/02. The reciprocating assembly includes .030 over Federal Mogul slugs, stock crank (not turned, just cleaned up) and stock rods. The top end includes a Federal Mogul Speed Pro bump stick, roller rockers, polished Aluminium water pump, heads, intake and water neck. The exhaust is swept away via coated Sanderson Headers and a custom bent 2" aluminized exhuast system. The air fuel is controlled by a 600cfm Edelbrock Carburator with a K&N filter taking care of any unwanted debris. Upgrades currently being looked into are primarily based within the suspension. Jesse hopes to add a monte carlo bar and possibly a rear anti-sway bar. The transmission is a C4. Upcoming plans include redoing the interior and upgrading the rear axle to a 9" Ford Unit.
