| Saddle Rock |
| Main Saddle rock is a hill formation on the outskirts of Wenatchee. Apparently someone thought it looks like a saddle, so he/she/whatever named it that. Either way it's a great place to hike to if you're wanting a good workout but not a long climb. #1 Saddle rock, during summer. #2 The Columbia river as seen from the top of Saddle Rock. #3 Some of the country side East-ish of the summit. #4 Now looking West-ish! #5 And this would be Northish, looking up the trail. #6 Continuing along the trail, going North, and looking at the surrounding hills and fields. #7 More hills! #8 Wide sweeping view of all the hills and fields. #9 Looking at the Columbia again, and out toward the East. #10 These ones are cool. They were taken in the evening when colors of the sky were different. Here you see a lot of Wenatchee, and the Columbia heading toward Chelan. #11 Zooming in on the Columbia. #12 Looking up the Columbia, East-ish. #13 And here's the Saddle Rock again, as the sun sets beyond it. |
