1982 Chevy Camaro LT, 2.5L TBI 4 cylinder, 4 speed manual, 3.42 rear end gears, white with blue vinyl interior, no options This was a means of transportation back and forth to work. It was a step up from the Regal. The little 4 banger was ok on gas.... but horrible with oil. I yanked the motor out and put a rebuilt 87 MPI 2.8L V6 and a 5 speed in place. That was a project and a half. It ended up costing me $600 to have a high pressure fuel pump put in place. YUCK!
END RESULT: After much annoyance and picking up my next car, as a parts car, then finding my second 87 Camaro.. I gave up on this one. The rust monster has sunk it's teeth to far into this car to make it worth saving. So out came the motor and tranny and the shell went to be crushed for scrap metal... it was worth about $30 for the weight.
