to grab several files on windows and delete them or do other stuff do this

1. click on 1st file with mouse
2. release mouse button
3. hold down the shift key
4. move mouse to ending file you want and while shift key is held down click on the ending item
5. the list will now be highlited
6. you can use the arrow keys instead of the mouse.
7. now hit the DELETE key to cause the files to be deleted
8. hit enter to question of do you really want the files deleted
