Cheryl Ann Tweedy ( Cole ) was born on the 30th of June 1983 in Newcastle
Upon Tyne. Even as a child her exceptional beauty and star quality was
recognised as she modelled at many fashion shows.She won many contests including best Looking Girl of Newcastle, The Evening Chronicle 'Little Miss & Mister' and Most Attractive Girl at the MetroCentre. Also of regional interest was her early tv advert appearance in an Eldon Square christmas ad. Cheryl was working as a waitress when she entered the UK talent-search show Popstars: The Rivals from which she was picked as the first member to make it through to what would become Girls Aloud. During her time as part of the sexy all girl pop group she has scored many top ten hits including "Big Brother" (What Will The Neighbours Say?) which she co-wrote.
