SEASON ONE: 2008-2009 11-25-2008 "MY SON IS DRAG RACING" Sydria brought her 20-year-old son, Matthew, to court to convince him to stop drag racing and get his GED. Matthew brought a tape of his racing to court, but it didn't exactly help his case. Next, Judge Penny brought in John who knew all about the consequences of street racing. He lost his sister in a street racing accident. She was minding her own business when a street racer plowed right into her. Those racers were around Matthew's age. After that tetimony, Judge Penny showed Matthew some pictures of cars that were totaled in street racing crashes. Matthew told the judge that he was going to convince his friends to use a private track instead of public roads. The judge was so impressed with his change in attitude that she had Matthew approach her bench for a hug. Judge Penny also set up an appointment for Matthew to get his GED. 10-17-2008 "MY SISTER DOESN'T WEAR UNDERWEAR" Isa says her younger sister, Elizabeth, should dress more appropriately, especially since she's the mother of three children. Elizabeth admits she doesn't wear underwear and wears skin-tight clothes that her friend, Leslie, makes. Leslie brought some of the trashy outfits to show the court. Judge Penny brought in stylist and E! Fashion Police co-host Peter Ishkhans to give them some fashion advice. Peter told the ladies that they should dress better, especially since they are bigger. Despite his advice, Elizabeth said she's going to keep dressing sexy because it gets her attention. 9-15-2008 "TEEN WANTS GASTIRC BYPASS SURGERY" Reagan is just 14 years old and already wants gastric bypass surgery. She's always been overweight, but things got out of control when her parents divorced. She brought her mother, Holly, to court because she was refusing to pay for the surgery. Holly said she had the surgery herself. While the outcome was great, she thought it would be too overwhelming for Reagan to handle. Reagan told Judge Penny that she thought she wasn't pretty. Judge Penny told Reagna that she needs to work on the inside before the outside. She ruled in favor of Holly and ordered Reagan to visit a nutritionist. Since the show, Reagan started to eat healthy and joined a fitness program. 9-11-2008 MOTHER STORMS OUT OF THE COURTROOM Alan, 18, owed his mother, Angelique, $1,000. She said she'd pay it back, but never did. So, he brought her to Family Court. Angelique says she shouldn't have to pay because he should learn to contribute to the household. Alan says his life has been hard because his mother was in and out of jail for using drugs. Judge Penny brought out Alan's brother, Nathan. The 10-year-old couldn't even talk to Judge Penny because he was crying so hard. After Nathan left, Alan said he felt like Angelique hadn't been a mother to him. That comment prompted her to storm out of the courtroom. Judge Penny met up with her backstage and convinced her to come back. Angelique hugged Alan before the judge ruled in his favor, granting him all the money she owed him. 9-8-2008 SERIES PREMIERE - "SPORTS CRAZED MOM" Catalina, 20, and her brother Erek, 17, brought their mother, Bernadette, to court because they were tired of her forcing them to play sports. They say she made them spend $1,220 on a soccer camp that they didn't even want to go to. Erek told of how his ear was once bitten off by a dog. He says Bernadette had the nerve to make him play soccer right after he had his first surgery! Judge Penny said Bernadette had no right to be dictating their future, but also encouraged the kids to love their mother, even though she's not always right. Judge Penny ruled in favor of Catalina and Erek, granting them most of the money. |

Judge Penny Brown Reynolds has spent years as a judge in Georgia. She is one of four daughters who was raised by a single mother. Judge Penny is also an ordained minister who has who numerous awards for her work. She brings her years of experience to the table as judge on FAMILY COURT WITH JUDGE PENNY. This new daytime court show focuses on family cases. Judge Penny tries to find solutions that are fait to both sides. Each show features one case for Judge Penny to rule on. The show also features a daily question for the home audience called "Penny For Your Thoughts," where the home audience is encouraged to share their thoughts online. |
