Steve Wilkos was a Chicago cop before joining the Jerry Springer show's security team. Wilkos joined the show in 1994 after producers decided they needed security for a Ku Klux Klan-themed show. Wilkos became a familiar face during his years on Springer, always jumping in to break up some of the biggest fights. Wilkos also substituted for Springer several times as host on the show. In January 2007, NBC Universal, which distributes Springer, announced it would be giving Wilkos his own talk show. The Steve Wilkos show launched nationwide on September 10, 2007. On the show, Wilkos uses tough love to help people who are stuck in rotten situations. |

SEASON TWO: 2008-2009 11-21-2008 "I WANT TO CONFRONT MY DYING RAPIST" Steve traveled all the way to Salinas, California to meet a woman who wanted to confront her rapist before he died. Before the confrontation, Kelly cried as she told Steve about how Gary molested her from the time she was nine years old up until she was 12. She said she couldn't love anyone, not even her husband, because of what he did. After the interview, Steve and the woman went into the rapist's hotel room. Gary was laying on the bed with oxygen. Kelly unleashed at Gary as soon as she walked into the room. She told him that he ruined her life and told him that she hopes he rots in hell. Gary apologized for what he did. Steve called him "evil" for violating a "helpless, defenseless child." After the confrontation, Kelly told Steve that she felt relieved. Steve told kelly not to let her children suffer because of what Gary did. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEASON ONE: 2007-2008 1-29-2008 "THE KISS OF DEATH" This was the most shocking and sickening talk show guest ever. James has AIDS and says he wants to spread it to as many people as possible. He says he's out for revenge and has slept with about 300 people since he got the deadly disease. This scumbag said he had no morals and doesn't care about anyone. Things got heated when James was confronted by his ex-lover, Michael, who he infected. Michael told James that he ruined his life. He tried to throw a chair at him, but unfortunately, security stopped him. Steve gave Michael the number for their local police and told him to call them to get this sick bastard locked up. Incredibly, James had a boyfriend, Lee, who came out and defended this monster. Lee said he hadn't had sex with James and refused to kiss him on the show. Steve got fed up with Lee's excuses and kicked him off the show. Steve then told James to rot in hell and walked off. 1-9-2008 "JACK MCCLELLAN RETURNS" Jack McClellan is an admitted pedophile who appeared on the show earlier in the season. Steve tore him a new one, but despite that he was back to "spread his message" that he's a "law-abiding pedophile." McClellan told Steve that he's sexually attracted to girls as young as three years old, but has never acted on his feelings. McClellan still has a Website that shows other perverts where to find kids. The site also has a ratings system that rates girls he sees around. Just disgusting. What's worse, a girl was abducted at an intersection that McClellan blogged about. That girl was found dead. McClellan was named a person of interest in the case, so Steve asked him to take a DNA test. McClellan refused to take the test, saying his lawyer told him not to. 11-6-2007 "A HORROR STORY" This was one of the most sickening cases of abuse and neglect ever. Shannon says her ex-husband, Matt, broke her daughter's leg on purpose when she was just eight months old. She says he did it because the baby wouldn't stop crying. What's worse: she got back with him in the hopes that he would change. Matt only served a year in jail for this disgusting act, but Steve wasn't going to let him off that easy. Steve got up in his face, screaming and demanding answers. Matt had the nerve to say he tripped and fell on his daughter, but Steve wasn't buying it. Things got too hot for Matt and he ran backstage. Steve followed him and got him into a corner. As Steve continued screaming at him, this jackass started shaking like a leaf. When it was obvious that he wasn't getting through with him, Steve told him to rot in hell and walked away. 11-2-2007 "CONFESSION AND ARREST OF A PEDOPHILE" Steve traveled to Pennsylvania to talk to Keith, who was an admitted child molester. Keith was jailed after molesting a seven-year-old girl, but cofessed to molesting a three-year-old since he had been in prison. He also admitted that he could not control his urges around kids. Keith said he preyed on girls because adult women would reject him. Steve yelled at Keith because he wasn't showing any remore. That got him to cry and say he was sorry. At the end of the show, Keith was arrested. He was later released from jail and charges against him were withdrawn as police continue to investigate. 9-14-2007 "EXCLUSIVE: DEVIL MOM" Steve traveled to a Detroit jail to interview a mother who had recently been convicted of trying to prostitute her daughter for money. The show didn't say her name or show her face to protect her children. The "devil mom" was busted online, where she arranged for her daughter to have sex with a guy, who was really an undercover cop. Cops busted the woman with the girl at a hotel with a bag full of sex toys. When Steve confronted the "devil mom" in jail, things got explosive. After listening to her excuses and lack of remorse, Steve lost all control. He got up and screamed at her, telling her he hopes that she rots in hell and serves all of the 20 years she'd been sentenced to. 9-13-2007 "EXCLUSIVE: STEVE VS. A PEDOPHILE" Jack McClellan made national headlines in summer 2007 for running a website for pedophiles. Steve was in McClellan's face from the start and even said he felt like punching him in the face. Steve even took his chair, saying he didn't deserve to sit on his stage. McClellan told Steve that he's more sexually attracted to little girls than women. McClellan said he never did anything sexual with girls, but admitted he likes hugging strange kids because "they're beautiful." Just sick. After listening to McClellan rationalize his disgusting behavior, Steve presented him with a summons to appear in court once he gets home. 9-10-2007 SERIES PREMIERE: "STEVE STALKS A STALKER" Crystal claims her stepfather, Allen, molested her from when she was 11 to 16 years old. Allen was found not guilty in court and now most of her family has disowned her because they think she's lying. Crystal brought Allen on the show for a lie detector test, so they could settle things once and for all. Before the results were revealed, Allen said that Crystal is a liar who is just trying to get attention. Two of her three brothers also told Steve that they thought she was lying. The lie detector test revealed that Crystal was telling the truth. Upon hearing the results, Steve got pissed with Allen. He got up in his face and told him to tell the truth. When he wouldn't, Steve had security take him off the show. |
