Just wanted to say thanks for including info and your review of The Dissappearance of Garcia Lorca on your site. First my students read poetry be Federico Garcia Lorca, then I showed this movie to my Creative Writing students last spring ( a high school c ass) and the students loved it! They were inspired to write poetry after reading about Lorca and watching the movie about this brave poet's life. Yes, I agree that this is definitely an "undiscovered" film in our country. That is unfortunate. To let you know, though, that in El Paso, TX this video has become popular. I tried to rent the video to show it to my new class of students this semester a d people who rented the copies stole them from the video stores I went to! I can't find a copy anywhere now!

I wish Andy would do a couple of more commercial movies--not any that would violate his standards, just more c mmercial. Just saw "Night Falls on the City" on t.v. I don't recall when I first saw Andy Garcia, but I really seem to gravitate to actors of latino heritage although I am not of that ethnic heritage myself...at least not directly. Since I am Jewish there is a strong connection with Spain dating way back to the moorish days when the Jewish population was firmly and happily entrenched in this country. Anyway, I have been impressed with Andy Garcia and other latino actors. What I have been finding is a really high moral character, a love of family, an intensity to their art and for the most part, a love of their heritage which leads them to be involved with projects that support their ethnic and cultural background. I find this very dmirable and it increases my respect for them both as performers and people. I'm pleased that Mr.Garcia continues these trairs.

I haven't been by this page for such a long time, but then I had got out my "When A Man Loves A Woman" video and watched it for maybe the 10th time, still sobbing at the emotional parts, and fell in love with Andy all over again. OK...I admit my initial attraction to Andy Garcia was phyisical. As Vincent in GF III, he impressed me as being a rather sexy piece of stuff altogher. Delighted with my good taste to find that there really is flesh and blood behind the image. That Andy has an integrity born out by his love of family, country and of course music. Our paths may cross one day, he and I, and I just know when that happens (and he has forgiven my drooling)I am going to like this real man. This is a great web-site for Mr. Andy Garcia-the man I highly respect for his acting, values and respected personality. Believe or not Andy Garcia was my inspiration as a Latino actor, because of him, I built my faith and became an actor. Acting in such movies like "Sudden Terror" with Maria Conchita Alonso, "Saved by the light" with Eric Roberts and did 3 episodes of the TV series "Pointman" with Jack Scalia. Presently I have my own TV show "Cruz Control" and Radio show on 92.7 FM in Jacksonville Florida. And like I said, all this I owe for the one person that inspired me the most "Andy Garcia". This website is so great! I was doing research regarding other actors for my boss and it dawned on me to look up Andy. OH MY GOODNESS!! Yes, he is the most beautiful man to grace the motion picture screen, and yes, Hollywood definitely underrates him. I love his low-key, unpretentious attitude.
