The man ghosted down the abandoned halls of the underground chambers that were part of the Morgan family's home.  It was much like walking through the forsaken side aisles of an old gothic cathedral.  The simple stone walkway, lined with towering arches that descended up into the inky blacknes that was deeper then even the dark shadows cast across the walkway by the pillers.

None of this affected the man as he continued his stride.  His shoulders back, head up, and one foot surely placed in front of the other, with authority normally reserved for royalty.

His green/grey eyes were fixed ahead of him, staring intently at something only he could see.  It seemed that He didn't even notice the other younger man fallowing a short distance behind him.  A man that was obviously trying to catch up to him, and not being silent about it.

After a few more moments, the younger man finally managed to grab the older man's arm.  "Cole."

The word was said low, but echoed off the silence, back to the two brothers who were now standing in the center of the walkway.

Cole Morgan glanced at the hand on his arm, then glanced up at his younger brother.  Both in distate.  "What?"  He asked in a col voice.  Not that the question mattered.  Cole already knew what his younger brother was going to say.

David Morgan sighed and removed his hand once he was sure that cole wouldn't continue his stroll.  He pushed his hair back and met Cole's neutral gaze with a wary one.  Their starring contest held for a few deafeninly silent moments before David looked away and sighed agian.  "You already know why I'm here.  Are you really going to make me spell it out?"

"You're the one who saw fit to delay me."  The voice was still cool, and his gaze remained on his younger brother, un-blinking.  Something which always made David feel like he was prey for the worst kind of hunter.

"It's important to father."  David tried lamely, knowing that Cole didn't give a dam about what was important to their father.

The only reaction that statement got was a raised eyebrow that practically screamed
and i care why?

"Please."  David begged.  Clasping his hands together in front of him and lacing his fingers.  He turned his brown/grey eyes to his brother, with a slight pout, making him look like a sad puppy.

Cole stared at him for only a moment before closing his eyes.  He rubbed the bridge of his nose with his thumb and forefinger.  "I'm not staying for longer then an hour."  He sighed, annoyed, caving to his younger brother's wishes.

David's face broke into a smile and he grabbed his brother's elbow, pulling him back the way he'd just come.  He glanced back at his brother who was putting up a slight resistance, still trying to delay the inevitable painful experienc that was coming.  "Come on."  He said, still smiling.  "Father's decided that you only have to wear that burgundy velvet shirt thing, but you get to pick the rest.  You can even wear that black coat that you practically bathe in.  He said so."

Cole's eyes narrowed slightly.  "And this makes things better how?"  He asked acidly.

David ignored his brother, knowing the annoyance wasn't aimed at him, but at their father and the potentially deadly situation that the older man was dragging Cole into.
