Dear Mr and Mrs John and Erika... Namaste! Your sponsored child Laho and his family are fine here and hope you are also fine there. Laho and his family become very happy to receive the letters, Yo-Yo game, ball pen...that you have sent and would like to thank you very much for that. I community volunteer have written this letter who works in the community. Laho enjoyed very much to know about your visit with your paternal uncle and aunt. Laho also became very happy with the explanation of the photograph. Laho would like to know if the tiger is real which is in the photograph.* At last, hoping for the continuity of the correspondence between you and them Laho would like to say good bye. |
* The tiger he is referring to is a stuffed toy, not a real tiger. Of course, after reading this, we dug up some old pics of us bottle-feeding REAL baby tigers at a sanctuary, and sent them to him along with a stuffed tiger. |
Laho became our sponsored child in the summer of 2001. He lives in Nepal and is 12 years old. He loves toy cars and football, and wants to be a teacher. His favorite subjects in school are reading, writing, and "sports lesson". |
