Web Page Design Instructions
I would highly recommend using Yahoo Geocities to build a website.  There are many benefits to using this source.  First, the cost is FREE for a basic website with 15 MB of storage  and their page builder is very user-friendly.  You will be required to have a yahoo account, but that is also FREE!  Click on the link below to access the Yahoo Geocities website.
When building a website, it is imperative to first determine the purpose of your website and the audience you wish to inform or address.  Once you have made this determination you can then begin planning the actual layout of your site.  It is important to remember a few key ingredients to a good website: thourough information that is easy to read and understand, links for additional information, navigation tools,

Inserting text onto your website is very simple.  Just click on the text icon and begin typing.  You can change the size and color of the text or add bold, italic, or underline options by clicking on the appropriate icons on the toolbar.  You can adjust the size of your text box by clicking and dragging on the corner of the text box.  You can make any of your text link to another site or page by simply highlighting the words you want to link, clicking on the link icon, and entering the web address you wish to acess.

INSERTING PICTURES
Inserting pictures onto your website starts by downloading your picture to your file manager.  This is done by clicking on File and Upload images.  Insert the image from your computer by clicking on the browse menu.  Once you have downloaded your picture, you simply click on the picture icon and insert your file under User files.  You can also add a link to your picture in this same screen by inserting the link in the link box.
I would recommend downloading all of the pictures and files you plan to use in your website first.  You must have these files* saved on your computer (try putting all these files in one folder for easy access). You can download your files to page builder by clicking on the File menu and selecting Upload Files and Images.  Then simply download your files by clicking on the browse button and selecting the file from its slotted location.  *NOTE:  When downloading any files be sure to save them on your computer as an HTML file first.

The next step is to open a new file by clicking on File and selecting New.  Then, click on Format and you can insert a background color or chose from the options available.  Under the Format menu, you can also select Page Properties to change the size of your web page.  I would recommend using 900 for the width and 1500 for the height.  You can always use more if you need it.  Once you begin making multiple pages on your site, you must link these pages together.  The easiest way to do this is by using bottons for easy navigation between pages.  I made my own buttons easily by making text boxes and shading the in background and adding a link to the text (see instructions below).

Be sure and save your work by clicking on the save icon.  Name each page according to its purpose and that will help you keep your pages straight.  You can also preview your work by hitting the preview icon anytime.
COPYING AND PASTING
This can be a little tricky.  First open a blank text box.  You can copy your work from another file and paste it in the page builder by clicking on the clipboard icon and hitting Control and v at the same time.  Then you have to hit the paste button and you're done!  Adjust the text box accordingly by clicking and dragging on the corner of the text box.  You can also copy an entire text box by highlighting the box and hitting Control and c at the same time and then Control and v at the same time, which will paste the new box directly on top of the original box.  You must then drag the new box to the desired location.
You can make any of your text or pictures link to another site or page by simply highlighting the words you want to link, clicking on the link icon, and entering the web address or page you wish to acess.
INSERTING LINKS
This is really all you need to know in order to successfully use Yahoo Page Builder.  There is a help icon available if you have other questions though.
