In 1983, a crew from French TV flew to DALLAS in order to interview its main creators: producer-writer-director LEONARD KATZMAN, writers A.B. LEWIS and DAVID PAULSEN, and also the light double for both PAM and SUE ELLEN on the show, VIRGINIA ZIEGLER, who drove us on a tour through Dallas and Southfork.
They witnessed the shooting of several on-location scenes of episode "The Long Goodbye", belonging to Year 6.

The best and newest DALLAS´s Special to date. Includes the whole original cast, besides of the infamous "woman who shot J.R.", M. CROSBY. The missing one is B. BEL GEDDES, who did not feel strong enough to travel from MAINE to DALLAS and sent them a warm telegram. Both J. DAVIS and she were tributed. Also featured the results of the online poll for the best Cliffhangers, which were: Seasons 2 (Who Shot J.R.), 8, 13, 6, 10, 7, 9, 5, 1 and 3. All through the show, the actors´ favorite scenes were aired, along with action montages and KRISTIN´s being unmasked, which was aired in several languages. SUSAN HOWARD was not invited to the Reunion due to the budget, limited to the original cast members, and she did not allow to show any clip of hers on the Special, nor did D. REED´s inheritors.
MARY CROSBY showed up mysteriously knocking on the door and shot JR, again, with a fake pistol with a flag reading “I shot JR”. On its first CBS airing, there was no mention to HOWARD KEEL´s death, happened that same sunday, though it was mentioned on its re-airing. On the final scene, VICTORIA woke up as somebody knocked on her door: it was PATRICK, coming for her about a charity event. She explains to him that just had an awful dream blahblahblah...and he answers: Oh, Victoria, not again...Victoria winks an eye to the viewers...

CBS celebrated with this Special KNOTS LANDING´s 25th Anniversary. The shooting took place at mid-June of 2005 in HOLLYWOOD, at a set WITHOUT an audience and at the famous cul-de-sac in GRANADA HILLS. The program featured clips of the original show, as well as talks in couple and group. CBS rebuilt the set of the MACKENZIES´ house where the Reunion was shot.
