Bobby Keys is one of the best session saxophonist in the world. He began playing the saxophone professionally since he was 15 years old, touring with Bobby Vee, working with Buddy Holly and many other rock 'n roll icons in his early youth.
Best-known for his long association with the Rolling Stones, from 1969 to 1974 (Keith Richards and He were born on the same day: December 18, 1943).
Keys played on albums by George Harrison (All Things Must Pass), Delaney & Bonnie, Eric Clapton, Humble Pie, the Faces, Carly Simon, Nilsson, Joe Cocker, John Lennon (Sometime in New York City, Walls and Bridges and Rock 'n' Roll), Ringo Starr (Ringo and Goodnight Vienna), Lynyrd Skynyrd, and B.B. King.
By the mid-'70s, his activities with the Stones were beginning to tail off, though he maintained a good working relationship with the band over the years, both in the studio and on the road.
