We Jewish women need a group of our own. We talk differently from men (so we need a glossary of our terms); we think differently from men; we create Jewish sisterhoods, Jewish organizations for women, and Jewish social affairs. We do this out of choice. We appreciate being able to share our feelings and thoughts about our own issues with other Jewish women.
Eshet Chayil discusses only women's topics that cannot be raised in a mixed audience. Topics that can be raised in a more general or mixed audience should be presented on Jewish Parenting, Jewish Homes, Jewish Traditions or the like, and not on Eshet Chayil.
We've prepared a list of sample issues to be discussed on Eshet Chayil. Of course, the women on the group may raise other issues as well.
We have developed a set of rules and guidelines for our discussions.
