The Eslonian International Development Agency is the first ever micronational development agency that encompasses actions in the micronational and macronational arenas. Our mission is given by a mandate of the government of the Republic of Eslo. EIDA's mandate is divided into two sections: 1. To help micronations develop their infraestructure in a way that is efficient for future growth and prosperity. This is done mainly through technical assistance to other governments or micronational organizations. This is an integral part of EIDA. By lending support and expertise to new and emerging micronations, Eslo assures that the hobby of micronationalism is continued through generations of nations with firm infraestructures and policies geared toward growth. By helping nations set and meet goals, the micronational community is enriched with interesting and legitimate micronations. Eslo promotes the rule of law, democracy (in one of its many forms), free markets, and peace. The social and political structures of micronations are delicate things that evolve according to the development of the micronation. EIDA provides the tools and knowledge that new governments need to be considered competent both domestically and abroad. 2. Address real world issues through awareness campaigns geared at assisting those most vulnerable. This is done through liason with other actors in the international community. The Republic of Eslo has, since its foundation in 1995, been the leading model country project in macronational involvement. This has come in a variety of ways. Today, no nation has more links to Non-governmental oganizations (NGO's), civil societies, governments, and talented individuals than Eslo. Through its connections, EIDA seeks to involve Eslonians in the global citizenship process. By undertaking a series of projects, Eslo, through EIDA, contributes its knowledege and goodwill to causes that are of interest to Eslonians. In modern times, it is only necesary for groups such as EIDA to do their part in shaping the world to make it a better place. As a model country project, Eslo is a unique position to find potential policy alternatives to a number of issues that are of international social, cultural, political, and economic importance. By extensive means, EIDA supports projects that will assist those who are most vulnerable in the face of poverty and conflict. As the a main policy of the Republic of Eslo is to safeguard the world's rainforests, EIDA works with numerous environmentalist groups to assure the proper protection and conservation of such areas. By acheiving the involvement of Eslonian citizens and foreign individuals and institutions, the planet can be seen as a place for an equitable and sustainable future. |
