KINGDOM OF SOUTHERN SEA RECOGNIZES ESLONIAN FOREIGN SECRETARY The Government of His Majesty, King Charles of Southern Sea has offered the title of "Knight of the King's Crown" to Eslonian Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bernard Selfin. This honor is bestowed to one individual on a yearly basis by The Kingdom of Southern Sea. Ambassador Selfin was recognized for his excellency in diplomacy and intermicronational affairs. Eslo considers the KSS as an important micronation for its record-keeping procedures through the Institution of Political Science and Diplomacy. This center has published important documents regarding micronational activity and is often referred to by Eslonian government officials for accurate academic study data. Ambassador Selfin was happy to accept the title under Eslonian law, which states that the title is seen as an award and disallows Eslonians from participating in internal political issues of other countries. Therefore, Ambassador Selfin will not add "Sir" to his title except when in the boundaries of Southern Sea. The Government of Eslo expressed its thanks to the Kingdom of Southern Sea and communicated its desires for the continuation of cordial relations between the countries. |
FIRLL OFFERS OFFICIAL APOLOGY TO ESLO The Free and Independent Republic of the Low Lands, which Eslo had campaigned agaisnt for international fraud and inactivity, has offered an apology to the Government of Eslo. In a message received in late August 2002, Foreign Minister P. de Kuijer offered a note in which he explains the events which led to the inactivity. The DFA and other Eslonian government officials have reviewed the note extensively and are currently deciding a policy to adapt. As per a request of the "renewed provisional FIRILL government, here is a copy of the note received by the DFA. ****************************************************** Dear Ambassador Bernard Selfin, As one of the representative of the Free and Independent Republic of the Low Lands I would like to react to the statement that was expressed by your nation. In that statement you condemned the Firll because of his in activeness and for "fraud". And I must say that I totally agree from your point of view. But the case isn't as simple as it looks. On the 23st of December we lost one of our 3 (we are a small micro nation) secretaries in a car accident near the Dutch city of Rotterdam. After the accident we had a lot of things to arrange, because this gentleman was not only our secretary, but he was also our friend. It took about three month's to get over this tragic accident. And we didn't want to think of our micro nation at all at that time. Two month's ago we started talking about the possibility to "re-launch our nation", and we are still talking. We also reopened our mailbox at hotmail, but because of the rules of hotmail, we lost all our e-mails. So we never received the messages you wrote concerning the song festival. I hope that you will get a little more understanding for the whole situation, and I as (secretary of foreign affairs) would really like to apologize to your nation and to everybody who had great expectations of the songfestival event. On this very moment we are (as I mentioned earlier on) considering to re-launch our nation, and we have written a declaration of re-launching the Firll.(see attachment) I have one thing left to say, I would like to ask you to post this message on your site so that all the people of your nation, and other nations can read this. I hope that if we re-launch our republic we will still be able to create friendly relations with your nation. Yours Sincerely P. de Kuijer ******************************************************** A note of reply was sent to the FIRLL on September 1st. The details of this note remain classified, but Secretaary Selfin can be contacted for more information. |
