ESLO EXPRESSES SUPPORT AND SATISFACTION TO THE NEW GOVERNMENT OF EAST TIMOR
OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE

The Government of Eslo expresses the most sincere and energetic congratulations to the new government of East Timor.  East Timor has now become the first country of the 21st century.  Eslo hope that other movements similar to that of Timor will emerge as peaceful nations within the remainder of this century.

The Eslonian government is pleased that East Timor was able to work towards independence with the international and regional community.  Eslo recognizes that the efforts of the United Nations, and particularly those of Secretary General Kofi Annan resulted in a peaceful transition towards sovereignty.

Eslo looks forward to the day when East Timor joins other nations at the United Nations General Assembly and calls upon all nations who desire peace and order to welcome the newest member to the community of macronations.

Similarly, Eslo will begin a relationship with Timor by examining the grave problems that plague that country.  Timor is not only the newest country, but also one of the poorest.  Simulations will be planned in Eslo to help Timor with the economic and social problems that it faces.
