After months of waiting, Ethan decided to finally make his appearance. The contractions started around dinnertime, but they were mild enough that we were able to go shopping at Mission Viejo Mall and dessert at Cheesecake Factory. By the time we got home, they were occuring more regularly, but the pain was still tolerable. At 1:00 am, Bernice's water broke and things started moving along. We arrived at the hospital at 1:35 am and we were settling into our room 15 mins later when the pressure with each contractions started escalating. Then it was a matter of waiting for Dr LInzey to arrive so Ethan could actually be born. He was coming so fast that there was no time for an epidural. Even the doctor almost missed the birth! Things do happen quicker second time around. |
