To promote the hobby by having working demonstrations on the techniques of lapidary.
To provide an avenue for its members to display their work.
To encourage rock & gem dealers to have sales booths at the show with materials that the club members can buy without having to travel to various cities to visit rock shops.
To visit with members from other clubs throughout the country; to exchange information.
