Biography
Chrono is a System Maintenance Assistant to Peorth (Movie)/Urd (TV). She uses a Celestial Loom to interface with the Yggdrasil
computer system. I believe Chrono is a Goddess 3rd Class because she lacks an emblem on her forehead.
She also appears to be the youngest of the assistant trio and similar in height to Skuld.
Chrono enjoys shopping at the Goddess Mall in Asgard.
In the TV series episode 8, Chrono is listed in the closing credits however the goddess that appears has short black hair, blue-grey
eyes and a blue triangle emblem on either cheek. This is quite clearly not Chrono but another as yet unnamed goddess. This goddess
also appears in episode 13. She is listed in the credits not as Chrono this time but simply as a Goddess.
In Mythology/ What's In a Name?
Her name is likely derived from the Greek Titan Cronus, also spelled Chronos or Khronos from the Greek word crono (Xpovoç) meaning
interval or time. Cronus was the son of Uranus (Father Sky) and Gaea (Mother Earth) and was leader of the Titans.
The ancient Greeks considered him the personification of time.
Cronus was also the father of about half of the Greek Gods, including Poseidon, Hades and Zeus. Fearing that one day his children would
destroy him Cronus swallowed the infants shortly after their births. When Zeus was born his mother hid him, he later returned and slew
Cronus thereby freeing his siblings.
