FARANGUTAN FC - Chiang Mai, Thailand
Behold the mighty Farangutans! Once a rag-tag band of amateur football players and professional binge drinkers, they have become a lean, mean, green fighting machine - a force to be reckoned with both on and off the pitch.
The 2003-2004 season saw our beloved Farangs overcome overwhelming adversity to finish 6th place in the Chiang Mai Senior Premier League, much to the chagrin of league officials and referees.
Now, the Western Warriors have been invited back to play in the 2005-2006 Chiang Mai Senior League, and the opposing old geezers are a tremblin' in their football boots! The league begins 27 February 2005 and will last for 30 action-packed weeks of footie, ending sometime in October.
So, dear fans, keep an eye on our website and follow your favorite football icons as they do battleon the pitches of Northern Thailand and elsewhere.
GO FARANGUTANS!
