My favourite Movies, classified after categories, winners of highest nuber of "Gummipuenkties" in the respective categories are

  Atmosphere and camera: Bunker Palace Hotel (a french & serbian movie), Dark city ( a must for all therapists and their prey…. Hihihi) , Delicatessen (except for the ending, great pictures),
                                          Schatten und Nebel (Woddy Allen’s best movie, b&w)), Stalker (russian, b&w), Gataca, Dead man, Matrix (with Keanu Reaves), the russian film "Stalker" (b&w)

   Action and movement: Strange Days and Point break …both by Cathreen Bigelow, her topic "friendship" , Code-name Nina/Nikita, (Karen) McCoy - die Katze (both McCoy movies)

   Historical description and good main actor: Georg Elser - ein Mann aus Deutschland and Hanussen bothh by and with Klaus Maria von Brandauer

   Movies about being different - good script prize: Gataca, Funny bones, Dead man - Jim Jarmusch, b&w, Der Mann der Friseuse (french movie), Harold and Maude, My own private Idaho.

   Music-films: Jesus Christ Superstar, The Doors , about Jim Morrison, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Woodstock - the movie, Philadelphia, The Wall.

   Humour: Clerks - die Ladenhueter (b&w, US), Gilbert Grape - somehere in Iowa, Garp, Heavenly sisters, Serial mum (Last two by John Waters).

   Historical Interest: Metropolis by Fritz Lang (b&w, watch out for the fabulous actors :) , the fragment of the movie by Magnus Hirschfeld (b&w) both beginning of this century.

   Japanese - strong female characters, transalegorics and good graphics : Akira, Armitage and Gost in the shell.

(b&w mean black and white) : there should be more black and white film festivals.
