Blake's paintings and engravings are realistic in their representation of human anatomy and other natural forms. They are very imaginative and they often depict mythical creatures in exacting detail. Early in history he was not appreciated and was thougt of as an eccentric. Now, though he is valued for his great paintings and meaningful poems.
