comes home wearing dark glasses, Maude knows
something is wrong. Carol finally tells Maude
that she has been going to a psychiatrist about
her dominating mother. When Maude goes to talk to
Carol's psychiatrist she leaves the office upset
that she has been a dominating mother, just like
her own mother.

Arthur's granddaughter, causing friction between,
grandparents Maude & Arthur. Arthur demands
that Phillip be punished, but Maude doesn't think
so, she sees the human body as being
"beautiful." Walter comes home drunk
and proves Maude wrong when he shows Maude and
Carol his "beautiful" body by
stripping.

"Maude Meets Florida"

Production Code - 101Maude hires a
new maid, Florida Evans. Florida says that she
will take the job but that Maude will be on trial
to see if she stays. At the end of the week,
Florida has decided to quit because Maude pampers
her too much. Carol and Walter talk Florida into
talking with Maude and settling the disagreement.
The two come to an agreement that Maude will not
tell Florida what to do.

party, until the guests arrive. After learning
the reason for the party, they all leave and
Maude is left to entertain the militant leader.

"The Ticket"

motorcycle cop chases Maude home for speeding.
Maude denies speeding, but still receives the
ticket and if proven guilty will lose her
license. Arthur says he can get the ticket fixed
but Maude refuses his help. Maude defends herself
in court, and faced with a judge who wants the
case to be thrown out while Maude fights for her
right to have a trial.

vs. McGovern on TV. Maude remembers the 1968
election, Nixon vs. Humphrey, when she and Walter
were dating and Walter proposes. Maude fearing
another divorce says no. She proposes that she
and Walter live together instead. They break up,
getting back together when Maude agrees to marry
and Walter agrees to live together.

resulting in him choking on a chicken bone.

like hers.

Lord Lives Here." Maude is shocked because
she is liberal. She then remembers that Walter
has an apartment building and figures that it is
a tenement. Walter then tries to get rid of his
real estate, by trying to sell it to Arthur, but
he does not want it.

while at an appliance dealer's convention in
Massachusetts. While there, Maude feels that she
is nobody, just Mrs. Walter Findlay. At the
convention while accepting his award, Walter
refers to Maude as his "little woman."
Offended by this they argue all night at the
motel, before finally making up.

more depressed, but by Arthur's advice, Maude
brings Walter out of his depression by showing
him affection.
