The bird spy Nimbly first appeared as Xayide's underling who was sent to make Bastian wish so that the Memory Machine would make him lose a memory. As time drew on, and Nimbly began indulging himself on Bastians memories, His heart began to turn, and he found out that "We're all part of a Neverending Story."

Nimbly searched for the Human child Bastian to help him find his way without his lost memories, and before he left, he told bastian that "He who spies and flies away lives to spy another day." So one day this Bird Spy may return, or maybe he'll just keep an eye out on Fantasia.
