Canon Powershot Camera a520 4 Megapixels Extremely Fragile |
|||
I bought this Camera and I have to admit it takes excellent pictures. This canon has an elaborate menu and many functions the only problem is that this camera is extremely fragile . I was sitting down and I had it in my hand, the camera slipped from my hand and fell down about a foot from the ground. As a result the zoom would not close anymore. I know you are not suppose to drop your camera on the ground but I expected a tougher camera than that for $350.00 Canadian dollars. I had a Canon AE1 35 milimeter camera, it lasted me through numerous trips and it was banged up a lot. I never had to fix that camera and it took incredible pictures. With all the technology in the world today companies should be able to make a better product than they do. After I returned this camera I got another one. The second camera did not last much longer. I am an outdoor enthusiast and I brought it with me on a caving trip . When I reach the climax of the trip and I was rappelling down a drop of 60 feet, I asked my friend to take a picture of this memorable moment, the shutter would not open anymore...thanks Canon. I had it in a well protected case so there is no excuse. I returned my camera again and this time I did not buy another Canon. Thanks to Sears, I was lucky to get my money back.
Are all the Canon camera that fragile or was it just this model?
I just hope that Camera companies will build tougher digital cameras especially Canon. |
